Amir Khan is now training with Joe Goosen. What do you think of this move? I think its a good move because he is more of an offensive trainer. I like Khan more when he was with Roach, but he said Roach did not teach defence. When he was with Roach his attacking was much better. With Virgil i just think Khan was thinking to much and not reacting.

I’ve always thought the Goosen brothers were good guys - I don’t know for sure but that’s just how felt. I’ll alwayd be a fan of Joe for his cool shirts and how he handled Corrales in the Castillo fight.

Explain how he took Maidana's best punch after getting KO'd by Prescott?

Not really much any trainer can do for Khan at this stage. At times, Khan could fight more purposefully with more efficient movements and less sloppiness, but he would always get flustered and resort back to his instincts and regress.

Against Collazo, he looked much better (besides the excessive holding) in terms of picking his punches, being more purposeful with his movements, looking a lot less sloppy with his punches. But a couple fights later, he regressed back to his instincts, and was barely getting by Chris Algieri.

He didn’t fight bad against Canelo, he was just in against a bigger and better fighter. Canelo set him up with the body shots and took advantage of his weak chin. That’s another thing, Khan has suffered some pretty brutal KO losses in addition to some pretty rough 12 round battles. He’s in his 30s and doesn’t have a style suited for longevity, he relies on speed more than technical skills and smarts. Not sure how much Khan has left.

If he has something left, and they match him up right, he can maybe win another belt. But it’s not likely to last long.
