Amir Khan v Antonio DeMarco

I think both of them would have caused Khan all manner of problems. Kid Diamond perhaps even more so with his awkward style.

Both KO him.

 

Khan KO. DeMarco had trouble with Kid Diamond coming forward and pressuring him, Khan would be that times by 27.. But Anyone has a punchers chance against Khan..So if he connects then good night sweetheart.

That's about the worst thing Khan could hope to do.

 

Kid Diamond beat himself with his Awkward style, the head clashes did the damage and Diamond coudnt breath right which is why the fight was stopped.
DeMarco has good basics, but is nothing special and i see Khan beating him to be honest.

 

I was actually talking about this on another thread yesterday. The fight was entertaining but DeMarco is far too upright and one paced. He's obviously well schooled but he was getting caught far too frequently by Diamond. Khan would be too quick for him and would, at the very least, take a comfortable points win.

 

I disagree. Every live opponent has hurt Khan. He has looked vulernable against Limond, Gomez culminating in the Prescott debacle. I see no reason to think this would be any different. DeMarco looks at least as capable, and his record suggests he can punch a little.

Khan's power is nothing special. DeMarco can take a few to give a few as he would need to.

 

DeMarco and Diamond would stop Khan, Diamond early, DeMarco mid-to-late rounds.

 

Khan may not have one punch knock out power but he's fast and is a good finisher.

Defense is the question here, has Khan improved enough under Freddie Roach

to be fighting at the top of the Division.
We'll get a good look against Barrera.

 

I doubt it. He is incapable on the inside and always has been. His only form of defence has been his jab, and flurries of handspeed blinding overmatched opponents. He has no form of working defence against top operators, and I doubt Roach has had time to improve it to a workable extent. I'm sure Roach has just tried to get him to use his jab more and win the fights on offence.

And no Khan is no big puncher. He hit Kristjansen and the like with dozens of shots. He arm punches. That **** wouldn't blow DeMarco away like the others on the evidence of his fight against KD.

 

He seemed to sit down on his punches more against ***an though.

 

Cotto sat down on his punches more against Gomez but didn't against Margarito. A lot depends on the opposition.

I didn't mean Khan would pressure him like Kid Diamond I mean its obvious there completely different fighters with contrasting styles, what i ment was Di Marco was troubled with Diamond's pressure, and although Khan is mainly pure speed and power when hes coming forward and mauling opponents with constant barrages of punches that is also a type of pressure, not in the traditional style like a Hatton or Duran but how many times already has Khan put fighters on the canvas without landing clean shots but by throwing so many punches that his opponent is forced to the canvas due to intense pressure?
