Just another can for the record isn't it really?

Longer term I do have major doubts over Khan's chin though, hopefully that is just a weight issue.

I think it's a good fight for Amir. Earl will look like the poor relation in styles as per the Romanov fight - but has the necessaries to get through and test Amir.

I see Khan winning a UD.

earl is an established british top 2 lightweight. wouldn't really call him just another can. if he you really think he should be skipping this level of competition and going straight for world class opp you must be a :nut

Earl is no can, which makes this fight a very good choice and a good test for Khan. It is still very early days in his career, and I think he was absolutely excellent in his last win. Lets watch this space.

Perhaps I am being a bit harsh on Earl, and no I don't think Amir should be skipping these fights. On the other hand Amir is a bit special and should win this easily, which will make Earl look like a can whether he is or not. Earl is a solid fighter but coming off a loss its going to be a tough night for him.

Its rare to watch the early fights and developement of a fighter like Amir on TV these days and a lot of people are a bit impatient. I'm not. He should work up to world level in the time that is right for his body and skill not the TV schedulers.

I don't really expect Amir to be seriously tested till he's fighting someone like a European champion or genuine world top 20 level fighter. At that point we'll begin to see if he is the real deal or just another nearly man. Till then I expect his opponents to get the can treatment. At world level though I've seen enough to be a bit concerned about Amir's chin, but I'm quite sure his defense will improve with every fight.

I agree i dont know why people are rushing him or why hes rushing himself, i like him but i wish hed stop with i wanna be the youngest this and the youngest at that, and just concentrate on being the best. I wanna see him work his way up and stay there not be catapulted and then come crashing down to earth again

Looks like I agree with 2/3 of the people polled.

Shame I will be in America and miss it. I will have to try and remember to record it before leaving.

According to FWTV Graham Earl has been training in the States for a month in preparation for this fight. He seems to be very focussed for this.

Personally, I will give Khan a lot of credit if he doesn't get KD'ed and if he wins this one...if he stops Earl, all the more so. We know Khan has heart but if Earl puts him down, I don't think he will let him slip as eaily as Willie did...I am very much looking forward to this fight, banking on my hope that Earl is true to hi word, that he IS hungry for this and has trained hard...

I fancy Earl in this one... i'm a big Khan fan but Earl just is such a solid operator when motivated. Khan can't stand and trade with him because Earl hits hard enough to put Khan out of their IMO.... So Khan has to box and move and go back to his amateur roots.... Now when you train in the same gym as Jamie Moore and Oliver Harrisons main training ethic is concentraining on keeping those hands high and intelligent infighting you have to wonder what Khans game plan is going to be?

I think Earl is too experienced and not quite as shot as people think. If Khan wins i'm a believer again.

Well, all the more credit to Khan for stepping it up, if Earl is indeed close to his best...if he isn't, "Warren is the best in the business!"

Khan to absolutley dominate this one from start to a crushing stopage finish within 6 rounds. Khan is going to out fight, out box, out hustle and out smart Earl all night, going to totally school him!

If Earl gets a crack on Khan's chin then who knows what may happen. But if Ricky Burns can beat Earl then so can Khan. Speed will be the factor thats why i think Khan will win. The only way Earl can beat Khan is if they brawl, but i can't see that happening.
