If he's going up to 147, it's not a bad introduction to that division at all. But if he's staying at Light Welterweight I think he'd be better going straight back into title contention in all honesty.

Lopez would knock him out. He has the punch resistance and testicles to get in range without being bothered by Khan's power, and he certainly has enough power to shatter Khan's jaw.

    Lopez KO.

It would be a very nervy night, but I think Khan would take it on points.

Lopez is a natural Light-Welter anyway, so I don't think he'll have any problems getting back down to 140, it's a good fight, one that Khan should win on points.

Lopez has a chance of scoring the KO though with Amir's shocking defense.

Question is if the fight is at JWW? Lopez could be damaged goods to go back down to 140 from that fight at 154. He might struggle to make 140 and this will give you a decision for Khan. At 147, it will be much more competitive. Khan just needs to use that sweet jab and keep his distance. If he stops a weakened 140 Lopez, they will make it a big deal to set-up the Garcia fight.

I could be wrong, but his body could be use to 147 by now. His last two fights were over 140.

I'm not so sure he'll have trouble getting down to 140, at 154 he was bloated he could easily drop the weight over a 10-12 week camp.

  9. will be at 140lbs

but it all depends on how bad khans hands are hurt/broken

I think Lopez is a relatively easy win for khan if he keeps his head. He is getting overrated for beating Ortiz who fought like an idiot, was clearly looking past lopez, has never been all that and has not got a fighters mentality (Not that I blame him for stopping the fight with that jaw injury)

Lopez proved against Victor Ortiz he has great balls and good power (at 140lbs anyway). Khan and Ortiz are two different fights though, interesting fight. Golden Boy clearly still don't have enough faith in Amir to throw him right back in with a world champion yet.

This would be a huge fight and it would be by far Amir's toughest test
