The official AK page on FB, as well as the twitter of Saj Mohamed and a few other sources reporting that Khan will face Peterson in a rematch on March 31st 2012, most probably in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas

    Lets get this thread rolling

If this is true it will be a great fight.

Some of you think last night was home cooking and Khan will win the fair rematch.

but im not so sure. It may be another close fight. Peterson now knows he can win. He will make it another inside brawl.

I would think there was a rematch clause written into the contract,so its not exactly an act to be credited to Peterson.

    Yep.

Khan doesn't have the tools to consistently keep Peterson off him. How is he going to fix his evasive footwork, his defence and his offence in the pocket by March?

Peterson also started slowly in this match...he only really began imposing himself properly in the third round. In the rematch he would know exactly what to do from the opening bell, rather than trying to box with Khan. The fight could be even worse for Khan than the first one.

I think Khan will learn more from the first fight than Peterson, and will win the re-match. Peterson suprised me though so he may well do that again and make Khan look even worse!

    yep. thats what im thinking.

Khan doesnt seem to have the power to keep Peterson or any pressure fighter off of him. I know he rocked Lamont a few times with petersons hands low.... yet Lamont kept coming.

so If buddy works on that and gets Petersons hands up.... Lamont may do better.

I think Peterson does him again. He showed the ability to adapt and figure Khan out as early as the 2nd round, and continued with it fairly successfully until the very end. Khan, on the other hand, could only resort to boxing and moving - which won him a few rounds, but it wasn't something he could sustain for the remainder of the fight. Peterson's pressure was too much for him.

So what can Khan really do the next time round? Has he got enough time from now and until 31st March to address all of those glaring faults he showed? Hard to imagine he can.
