Why are so many people picking the smaller fighter?

Still no reasons given. Damn, that's strange!

Is there something I'm missing here? Someone bring me into the loop, fellers!

Yeah, it's a tricky one! Gamboa looks like a damned good prospect, though. Whom are you picking, feller? And say why too, if you don't mind!!

Tell you what, fellers; forget it! Fight ain't happening anyways, so no point voting just for the sake of it if you don't say why. Looks to me like starting threads on EAST SIDE BOXING's just a waste of my time.

Interesting fight! Gamboa is less tall and a smaller guy but he comes at you very well. He is a very good puncher and Khan's chin is not the best. On the other hand, five inches is not nothing. If Khan fought tall and used his jab well, Gamboa would have to respect him. Khan is not bad on the attack either and he would be able to counterpunch too. We just don't know how good Gamboa's chin is or how he does when put against a decent fighter. I cannot discount his chances, but neither can I discount Khan's, not least because he is taller and bigger. I just don't know, to be honest. :think

Said I don't know. The size differential really scares me here.

I am also surprised how many people thought it was obvious who the winner was.

Khan by brutal KO. Gamboa is not in his league.

Unlike ALL the guys Khan has fought, Gamboa can CRACK. There's a REASON why Khan's management has matched him with light-hitters - and even then one of 'em almost had him out of there.

Gamboa knocks Khan COLD inside of five. Good- NIGHT to the hype job.

Oh, and don't expect Khan's management to take this fight unless they HAVE to. They're gonna protect their shaky-chinned meal ticket as long as they can.

Khan can crack too, right, feller? Probably could use that reach advantage well too. Don't see me this fight that black and white, no siree! Would love to see it, though!

Because Khan has a glass chin and Gamboa's a supernatural with finishing ability and vastly superior speed and defence. Simple enough Bear.

Khan's chin sure looks overprotected. Don't think Gamboa is that much faster or that much better a finisher, but he could be. Need to see him against better opposition first to be sure, though. Not sold on his defence, that's for sure. How about the reach advantage that Khan has, feller?

Well feller, lemme tells ya feller these fellers are some skilled fellers. Gamboa feller is a much better feller at boxing feller, ya know what I mean feller? He's a bit smaller feller though feller.

Khan's greatest weapon is his speed. He is slower than Gamboa.

Gamboa is stronger, has more power in both hands, is more experienced (dont let the records fool you...the man had over 400 amateur fights), has MUCH better defense, has better footwork, better timing, better movement (body and feet)...and most importantly...even tho he has fought less pro opponents...he has looked MUCH BETTER....against MUCH, MUCH BETTER competition.

Gamboa stops him relatively early (between 4-6). Its a mismatch.
