I think Ward would have ko Khan badly. Ward back then was a better fighter then Maidana and alot tougher.

Ward wasnt prime against Gatti in any of the three , he was prime against Neary. Watch the Judah fight where Ward landed only a handful of punches , then you may change your mind.

Ward sucked don't let the movie hype you up about his skills. Khan would outbox that bum.

dont think it would've been like the 2nd gatti fight. reckon ward would've stopped amir with a signature body shot. ward could eat leather all night and khan doesn't hit as hard as gatti did........
    good fight though!!

As much as I love Ward, he was more exciting then actually really good. Khan by clear UD.

BTW, that wasn't prime Ward who fought Gatti. The thread title is misleading.

It would be like the Zab Judah fight. Ward will hurt Khan to the body, maybe even dropping him but in the end gets completely dominated.

Ward is tougher than Khan but had half the skill. Gatti was a C+ fighter on his best day. Ward was C- fighter on his best day. When he beat Gatti, Arturo was his normal D+ fighter self. Wow the threads about guys sayin that when you talk about Mayweather it's not about boxing. But now guys are talkin Gatti and Ward? Yes these were exciting rough n tumble bouts. No doubt. But there wasn't a whole hellava lot of boxing skill on the table.

Khan is too fast for Ward and would outbox him and win a comfortable decision.... Dont think Mickey Ward can draw him into a slugfest(that would be his only chance). Look for a smarter Kahn in the future.

A fight you should match would be Maidana and Ward. Sounds like an idea???

As others have said, Ward wasn't prime when he fought Gatti. The version that fought Gatti, would be out-pointed easily by Khan. But the prime Ward give him a good fight. He'll try and eat that body up and Khan would experience a bit of trouble here and there.
