If Amir steps up to 147, how do you see him doing against Berto?

berto is still a dangerous opponent for most welterweights so khan will have his hands full.... with a better gameplan than the one he had against ortiz....khan will be strong at 147 too but not sure if he'll be as fast (until he fully grows into that weight) as at 140..... it's a toss-up but i'm going with the underdog Berto.. :good

Berto has enough power to hurt Khan at any point in the fight is is just physically huge in the WW division.

Berto is a very fast puncher but I'll still stick w/ my man Khan via UD. Berto, at times, fights carelessly so even a TKO by Khan would be very possible.

It would be a good fight, but I'll have to go with Berto on this one.

With Khan's obvious chin problems and Berto's solid power, it's a pick'em for me. Yes, that's how much of a burden Khan's chin is. Those who aren't as good as him (not saying Berto is crap or anything), always have a great chance if they can punch.

Nobody here was higher on Berto than I, but after that lethargic showing agaisnt Ortiz, and the superstar potential of Khan, I gotta say Khan by brutal KO.

He's just too long and too strong for the compact Berto.

    You think?

I have a strong feeling Khan won't be the same force at 147, that he is at 140. I hope I'm wrong, though.

After a couple of tune-up fights @ WW, I believe Khan will be a force to reckon with.

If he's as good at 147 as he is at 140 then I think Khan takes it by TKO in a fairly one sided fight. However a hail mary shot by Berto wouldn't surprise me either.

Maybe. He'll need to be carefully managed to begin with, but they're talking about throwing him in with Mayweather after just one fight to settle in. :conf

I understand they may want to cash in before someone beats him, but still.

    Khan would KO him.

Berto can't box on the outside with Khan and Berto won't be able to get inside without getting put on his ass.

If slow Maidana can wobble Khan, surely Berto could do better.

Khan has improved under Roach since the Maidana bout almost a year ago though, he showed significant improvement in the Judah fight (even though Zab quit halfway through).

And I don't think Berto will pressure Khan enough to make him really uncomfortable.
