Khan jabs the head of Rios for 12 rounds and takes it on a wide decision.

Let me just expand on this quickly.

I don't think the Maidana comparison is that good, the main comparison being that they are both pressure fighters, and are pretty crude. But that's about it.

Maidana can actually land his hurtful shots at long range, which is why he was successful in catching Khan in the latter rounds. It is also why he stopped Ortiz via accumulation (including the knockdown).

I haven't seen this from Rios, he likes it in the 'phonebooth', this is were he gets power in to his shots, including those uppercuts. He doesn't rotate at long range (if I'm remembering correctly), and with him being so crude, I see Khan having the speed and evasiveness (for the most part) to deal with Rios handily.

However, you could probably argue that if Rios got Khan back against the ropes, and Khan stupidly sat there with his high guard up, Rios' uppercuts could take effect. But again, who says Rios' power transfers to the higher weight. He's not a massive puncher as it is, and relies on accumulation.

If these two ever fight, the fight should be billed as "Dumb & Dumber".

Two of the biggest tards to ever fight on the world class level.

This might surprise some but Maidana punches considerably harder than Rios and he couldn't starch Khan. Objectively, Khan would school Rios IMO. BamBam needs to focus more on the Sotos and Garcias and avoid everyone else lol...

Khan would get stopped late, he doesn't have anywhere near the defense that Abril showed, and any other fighter besides Abril haven't been able to stand up to him.

Amongst the top 10 at 140 pounds, Rios actually matches up with Khan best or second best, stylistically.

I think Khan would paste Rios for the first two rounds with his super fast straight punches to start off the fight, then, as he always does, the load would be blown and every round after that would be up to Rios to get closer, which I don't think would be a problem. I think Rios, even at 140, probably has more power than Lamont Peterson.

Fine line for both fighters either being very successful or coming unstuck very quickly, id favour Khan purely because he has been at the weight for a while and has faced adversity and come out the other side, despite being a complete ***** he proved allot against an extremely pumped up Maidana, he proved enough to me that he may TKO Rios on accumilation after 1 or 2 very awkward moments.

What was so alarming about rios against abril was how one dimensional and one paced he was, I don't know weather the weight had anything to do with that but I was expecting him to go to a plan B and finally get to abril but all he was doing was just chugging forward in a straight line throwing punches getting to close and ending up in a clinch!
if abril can beat rios like he did I'd go for Kahn to do the same sort of thing aslong as he stays disciplined and doesn't try to prove his chin or anything stupid like that
