Bunce is a blowhard. I laughed my ass off the other week when he was desperately trying to make out like Audley Harrison was some legitimate threat and a great fighter, lol
Bunce don't half talk a load of shite. If Khan was fighting on Boxnation, he'd be licking his ass like a dog.
It seems Bunce is speaking ahead of next fight and thinking he will be right on the money. But he was right in that piece concerning khan's adaptation and applying to the plan but in a shabby kind of way.
Hunter: Brook still playing catch-up to Khan, any fight won’t be 50/50 Trainer speaks on domestic clash and moving up Amir Khan’s new trainer Virgil Hunter has told WBN that any potential welterweight bout between his fighter and IBF mandatory challenger Kell Brook will not be a straight 50/50 split as stipulated by Eddie Hearn recently. Brook, 26, scored an impressive win over Argentine Hector Saldivia on Saturday and has since been vocal in his desire to face Khan at some point next year, although Hunter stated that a fight won’t happen until Khan is acclimatised to the higher weight. “First of all Amir is not a mature welterweight so I don’t blame Kell, Eddie, and his team for wanting to fed-ex the fight,” Hunter told World Boxing News before moving on to any monetary split. “From the business side 50/50 won’t happen. Listen, Kell is a good fighter and he has to be considered as a future champion, but the reality of this matter is Kell is still playing catch-up in his accomplishments. “Amir is focusing on Carlos Molina and he will take his fights one at a time. It would be great to see Kell beat a couple of real contenders or champions and build up to a fight in the future with Amir. “Eventually when Amir is a true welterweight, he and Kell will fight. But let me say this, Amir's best performances will come at welterweight,” warned Hunter. Former 140lb world champion Khan is looking to put a disappointing twelve months behind him on December 15 against Molina, knowing that a solid performance puts him right back in the mix for another title shot. The 25 year-old remains a marquee name through his accomplishments against the likes of Marcos Maidana and Zab Judah and it will be interesting to see what difference Hunter can make to the Bolton fighter’s style in his upcoming fight. Whether Khan v Brook is likely for 2013 remains to be seen and Brook may have to become a world champion first, before he can entice the Olympic silver medallist into negotiations for a UK super-fight.
Interesting read on Virgil's words. I think down the line, Book-Khan would be a big fight with great action.
After the Prescoot fight, Bunce said Khan going to Roach would be a bad move and he would be better off going back to his amateur coach Mick Jelley. Bunce talks ****!
Hmm, Garcia thinks it will be a tough fight for Khan... maybe everyone is sleeping on Molina a bit :think
