Dates Wednesday 7pm & 10pm Sky Sports 1 - Amir Khan: Behind the Ropes Thursday 6pm Sky Sports 1 - Ringside Special Friday 6.30pm Sky Sports 1 - Khan-Molina Preview
Watching Behind the Ropes. Really well done. Molina has the same S&C Mares has I think. Khan bless him is getting confused with all of Virgils new boxing skills/stances. Love listening to Virgil... feels like I'm learning when listening to him. If all teachers were like him lol. Carlos's trainer is saying his fighter has faster hands than Khan and is gonna hit 1-2 combinations on his body. His trainer also said to try dirty tactics on Khans body when the referee is on the blind side.
just caught the end to it Its good to see virgil being forceful and harsh with khan for mistakes he makes.
Khan accompanied by Virgil goes into the empty LA stadium where he'll be fighting. Virgil stresses that I'm 100% concentrating on you... and i'm here for you etc. Carlos vows to shock the world. Programme closes with Khan saying that if he loses this next fight he might as well have to call it a day and pack his bags. From the doc (and when you guys see it) you will see that Amir Khan isn't all that he's thought out to be. He has a childlike type of innocence to him abit like Victor Ortiz. He understands that he doesn't have to entertain the crowds in the ring and references Mayweather as his record speaks for himself. Virgil also questions the cameraman and gives him a scenario alluding to the style he specialises in (hit and not get hit back). He says people might see this as a 'cowardly' type of style but they aren't with the fighter when he gets knocked out etc. IMHO I think Khan needs to be matched carefully for his next 3 fights. I'm sure Virgil will take care of that. He has names on his resume (Kotelnik/Paulie/Judah/Maidana/ faded Barrera) and when the time comes needs to avenge his loses. Although, both Khan and Virgil have said boxing isn't a revenge game but a bussiness. Lets see what happens. Final presser and weigh in to be added onto this thread.
