Amir Khan vs devon alexander - predictions and Thoughts - 2014.

    So at the moment it looks like Khans next opponent is either going to be Robert Guerrero or Devon Alexander which is going to take place in November or December this year.

    Let's say Khan has gone onto to choose Devon Alexander (A former Three-time world champion) as his next opponent. What's your Prediction and thoughts on this fight & which will be the most competitive match up for khan.

    I say this would be an amazing fight because both have amazing skills, footwork, Speed, good amateur records, both former champions, both ranked in the top 10, both young, both are boxers and not brawlers making it a proper boxing match. It will be very exciting competitive fight cause i'll be skills vs skills, Speed vs speed, footwork vs footwork, etc.

    Devon is a southpaw and Amir khan is a orthodox. Even though orthodox fighters don't like getting into the ring with southpaws, khan has a very good resumay against southpaws. Khan has sparred the likes of Manny pacquio, won all of his professional fights against southpaws, and is very use to them. So this should make it an even more exciting match-up.

    Khan outboxes Devon to a UD

    Guerrero gets his **** pushed in Khan UD OR manages to turn it into a scrap...but his inside ability doesn't look very good to me...could he do what PEDerson managed? probably not but it's possible.

    Guerrero fight is more interesting...
    Whilst the Alexander fight allows us to see how good Khan's boxing ability is...

    depends what you want...If Khan destroys Alexander in a UD then it would re-enforce the notion that Khan might give Floyd some troubles. Guerrero fight doesn't really show anything.

    Khan has a Glass Jaw. If a shot career lightweight can have Khan looking like he's jungling knives on a unicycle then It's hard to ever consider him a formidable force against a Welterweight.

    Tbh... i don't see devon knocking khan out cause He aint no puncher like Garcia or Prescott. And khan's starting to fight more like he's current stable mate (Defensive) rather than his he's former stable mate (All offense). Don't see devon knocking khan out if he doesn't trade shots or go to war. The chin isn't the best but it can defo stand up against Alexander if it can stand up againist peterson/maidana.

    Alexander lacks the power and serious aggression to make this an interesting fight. I really hope they pick Guerrero.

    Alexander is a way bigger threat than Guerrero who just had his eye completely shut by that Z level fighter from Japan .

    Alexander will never be an easy opponent for anyone .

    I see a very hard fight for Khan if it takes place .

    IMO Khan should avenge his "Loss" to Peterson and whup him for that robbery .

    Common opponents are Kotelnik and Maidana just?

    Khan beat Kotelnik wide yet was pushed close with Maidana.

    Alexander arguably deserved to lose against Kotelnik and beat Maidana the easiest anyone has.

    Not much relevant to how these match up style wise, but somewhat interesting.

    Alexander is actually underrated and was never highly rated by fans to be begin with. I don't get where people are getting this "overrated" nonsense from. He beat Matthysse(who continues to be highly rated by fans), Kotelnik(one of Khan's biggest wins), Maidana, Witter and Karass yet people talk about him like he has never been in a dangerous fight ever.

    I have never been able to buy into either of these fighters completely:

    Khan is very fast, but not the smartest fighter, exchanging with better punchers...

    Alexander is a slick boxer, but lacks real power...

    If I had to make a prediction, I'd go with Khan. I think his speed and slightly better power would be enough. Alexander, IMO, would not be able to cause the type of damage that has beaten Khan in the past.

    He arguably lost his fight before Bradley and the one after which takes some of the shine of Bradleys win.

    Can make a strong case for Matthysse beating him after Bradley and Kotelnik before.

    The Alexander fight would be a terrific pure boxing fight between two excelente executants who have had ups and downs but still have great potential. A crossroads fight that I expected to happen someday and that brings us to mind how did either dealt with Chino Rene Maidanag performances either at 140 pounds or at welterweight. I would favour Khan at this point of course due to handspeed and power but Devon is not to be dismissed, even after losing his second fight to the present IBF WW titlist Shawn Porter like he lost to Tim Bradley. Guerrero is not a good option for Khan cause he's a sort of a swarmer and a rough-house fighter and even thwoul same way, it would be an ugly fight.
