It's really a combination of not holding a shot well and having a really low ring IQ when hurt - he chooses to fight fire with fire after being floored, rather than tough the round out and take the 10-8. It's not something he can do anything about I suspect, as the red mist descends over him when tagged...

Khan hasnt had a decent win for arguably 5 years and that was a washed up zab!

He is a glorified bum

 

Errol Spence destroys Khan in about 5 rounds. Khan will hold his own, maybe even gain an edge on the cards with his speed in the first 3 rounds. In the same minute that his speed begins to fail the slightest bit, Spence lights him up with the big combo and it's lights out.

 

Khan never respect incoming shots. Most of the time he is too busy throwing his own rapid combination. Roach couldn't get him to learn that, Hunter tried but I guess in the heat of a battle, all is forgotten.
Most fighter will pivot, duck or slide after throwing more than 2 combo, floyd does that, lomachenko as well, Pac practice that in the drill and ingrained in his ring style. Khan never does that, his hands are faster than his feet, lots of his punches are let go with his feet unplanted and upper torso way out in front of his feet.
I will never favour Khan over a guy who can sit down and punch.
