Amir Khan vs Floyd Mayweather?

Khan could case Floyd problems with his speed but I think it's a year or two too early for Khan.

 

No way Khan is ready, plus, he won't even get through Maidana

 

If he beats Maidana and Bradley/Alexander winner then he will be as ready as he'll ever be. If this fight is gonna happen I don't want Floyd to be pushing 40 when it does.

 

I dont think hes ready for mayweather, he hasnt fought once at 147 yet, give him a few years like maybe 2 - 3 and it might be competitive, depending on how mayweather reacts to the aging process. But as of right now mayweather schools him no doubt

 

Ortiz couldn't finish off Maidana and Ortiz is a stronger puncher than Khan. I can't see Khan withstanding Maidana's power

 

that's the idea right there.

 

How does beating Maidana/Bradley/Alexander make you ready for FLOYD MAYWEATHER? Those guys are all still green. Floyd is a mother****ing veteran.

It takes at least 4 moar fights.

Beating Maidana then Bradley or Alexander isn't enough. I'm not interested in seeing Khan get sacrificed.

 

I would be surprised if Khan even went the distance against Floyd. He's just not in that class.

To be fair, he does have things that could trouble Floyd -- excellent speed, a great jab, natural size/reach, decent stamina, and the ability to throw good combinations consistently. I don't think his defence and general skill level is good enough yet though, and there will always be questions about his chin. He did well against Malignaggi, but at times he was reaching in a bit too much, which Floyd would pick up on and use to counter him quite badly. Floyd is just too skilled and athletically gifted for Khan at this point -- Khan needs more seasoning. Let's see how he does against Maidana, Bradley and/or Alexander, and then talk of a Floyd fight will sound far more sensible.

 

Agreed. I like Khan and I think in a while he will be quite good but right now I'd think Mayweather would actually KO him. Too many sharp counters and Khan's chin wouldn't stand up like mosley's did.

 

No way in hell Khan is ready for Mayweather. It would be like the no. 1 ranked college football team against an NFL team.
