funny that , seems exactly like what people said before Judah-Tszyu , and bar Judah's southpaw stance the match up is very comparable .

If this fight was so easy for Khan then it would of been made .
But the reason it hasn't is Warren has seen far too much of what Romanov can do .

 

i like khan but people like bailey tunes who insult other fighter to validate there points about khan turn me off him.

 

lol dont worry Baileys_tunes, you'll get used to the Khan haters on here. When it looked like Khan might be fighting romanov, they were all on here covering there arses .."Khan will win, romanov aint that good, it wont prove anything etc etc"...same with thaxton, earl, katsidis etc..now casamyor is "shot" and "old" just in case Khan were to beat him..they hate khan but dont have the courage of their convictions.

 

Warren isnt stupid. Some years back a young Romanov came from the unknown and brutalised Bobby Vanzie and Steve Murray. Both those fighters were Warren fighters. Earls decision thoug in my opinion vs Romanov was a farce. Romanov`s body of work was far superior than Earls. Im pretty sure theres no chance Warren will risk his best charge against a very live underdog like Romanov.

 

I like Khan he has some skills.Im not sure wether he can become a quality mainstay at 35 or 40. But he probably will win a title before he hangs them up. Its simply too soon to pass judgement on him as his still a prospect learning his trade. Right now he doesnt have the ring smarts nor raw talent to beat a wiley veteran like Casamayor.

 

Actually that's a blatent lie , I think most(including me) were delighted when it looked like Romanov v Khan was going to happen . I also picked Romanov to win back then(as did many) but it turned out that Warren was just using Romanov's name as a ploy to gain attention for Khan .

I called the Earl fight as it happened , he was never that good(imo lost to a very rusty Romanov and would of been stopped had Romanov been sharp) , lost to Burns , close fight with Ramirez , two dodgy decisions of Vanzie . Earl was a pretty average fighter that was ruined(as I suspected he would be) from a combination of hard fights ending with the Katsidis war , which would of taken a lot from any fighter .

I have also picked Katsidis to beat Khan any time that fight has been mentioned .

If Khan was that good then Martin Kristjansen wouldn't be his upcomming opponent , he would of beaten Thaxton been and be set to taking on Romanov now . Either Warren simply doesn't believe in his man at all or he simply doesn't believe in his chin .

 

Although Baileys_tunes has said some silly things, the last two post are true.

Warren wraps EVERYONE in cotton wool. Khan isn't an exception.

Amir Khan is not Vanzie or Murray.

 

No, but one things for sure, if Vanzie or Murray were around now and still had something to offer, they too would be in the same club as Jon Thaxton.

 

Of course, Warren won't let a cash cow take a risk.

In honesty the level of competition wouldn't annoy me at all if Sports Network didn't spout all the 'I could take Mayweather in 4 rounds) , 'I'm gonna be Britain's youngest World champion' , 'I would wup Thaxton' ****(I say Sports Network because I don't believe for a second all of this is comming from Khan) stuff but they have . They have created the hype so they must live up to it .

Anyway as I was saying it's not the level of opposition that annoys me so much but the clear intention to stay away fro punchers . Even as Hatton was being carefully brought up Warren only focused on the level of opposition as a whole and hadn't much fear when it came to punching power as he must have had fate in Hatton's chin .

But with Khan , St Clair-even at Featherweight he only ever stopped people on accumulation and was never thought of as having a decent dig .

Colin Bain , 10 wins 0 ko's . Admittedly the only time I saw him was the Khan fight so in this case I can't same if that stats reflect the truth . But with no stoppages at all you'd nerely have to assume they do .

Komjathi 28 wins , 11 ko's . All stoppages came in hungary against fighters who have mostly(very poor) losing records .

Jackson Williams , 12 wins 0 ko's . Same story as Bain .

Now I know stats can often be bull**** , but I think in this case whether Khan actually has a poor chin or not Warren is certainly worried about it more than he is with most of his fighters .

But as you keep saying Warren doesn't know **** . I'm not sure I agree with that(after all he is very succesful) but he certainly is too protective .

 

Casamayor got hit very easy but Katsidis who is not as fast or accuarate as Khan.

Khan would cause him problems, but I think at this point Casa would win. has Khan faced a southpaw???
