Who wins this one if they fought? Say at 140 pounds or at a catch weight?

I know they are a few divisions apart right now. But Linares is a very big 135 pounder. Whilst Amir Khan has competed at 140 pounds before and is also one of the smaller 147 pounders.

If Amir Khan moved down a division to 140 pounds, and if Linares moved up a division to 140 pounds, how do you see this fight going? Or what if they fought at a reasonable catch weight?

I think Linares does better than some expect? Although Khan might be a little faster, Linares is a more fluid boxer with more fluid combination punching and probably also has better accuracy to boot to. And probably also has better punch variation.

Seems like a 50/50 fight to me!

    What do you all think?

Linares has just moved up. He's fighting Abner Cotto as a feel in fight at 140. Let's see how he looks...

Linares is basically Khan-Lite. Fast flashy hands, 0 punch resistance, 0 toughness.

No, his punch resistance is perfectly fine when compared to Khan's, it's Badou Jack-esque, and he's tough as ****ing nails. Watch the last 3 or 4 rounds of this match, and tell me again how he lacks toughness.

Linares is a class operator could make it go whatever way he wanted to against Khan.

What I mean by toughness is literally his bodies toughness, not his heart. You cant question his heart. But his body just isn't tough enough, his skin is paper thin, he got stopped by Loma to the body also.

Khan destroys him. Stops him mid rounds. Slices him up.

Khan only loses to big punches, Canelo, Prescott, Garcia. That’s actually not a bad crowd to get ktfo by.

Who has linarea beaten that could beat Alexander, maidana, peterson(he beat him), Collazo, Julio Diaz, Judah, molina, kotelnik, barerra?

Name 1 guy that could beat any of those 8 khan beat. Khan is very underrated here.

After reading these post now I really wanna see this fight.
Linares wins. He should be able to knock him out, but Linares isn't a knock out kind of guy.
    Decision or Late TKO.

I don`t think Khan is faster, and Linares has more power plus Khan was knocked out by a lightweight, no way could Khan come back from the right hand that Loma went down from and Amir is far easier to hit than Loma is, Loma would beat Khan more convincingly than he beat Linares and who`s to say when talking about welter power that Loma wouldn`t catch Khan with a body shot like the one he stopped Linares wit, Khan is way overrated.

Well... I think Linares wins... he is almost as fast as Khan, has fantastic footwork, good defense, okayish power, combinations second to none. He probably knocks Khan out.

You may have a point, but I don`t think that list is that great, Linares would have wiped the floor with Barrera at lightweight and he did far better against Loma than Barrera or Prescot would. Barrera didn`t have the reach to fight a good lightweight, plus he was cut vs Khan.

This. Khan does everything better than Linares. Khan even as diminished as he is now is still twice the athlete and boxer Linares is. Khan would easily school now and in his prime easily stops Linares.

Even if you watched that one in slow motion it would be nigh on impossible to keep track of the punch count. Hummingbird's wings can't move as quickly as the hands of those two.
