I saw Jose posted this on his facebook. Idk if they recorded it or not though.

But damn he's big. He's taller than Amir and Amir is tall for the division

Jose Benavidez Jr is such an incredible prospect, I would love to see him fight someone half decent.

I think he has destroyed about 14 tomato cans, surely there ain't much point in him continuing to fight guys who belong in the TPS.

If he gets around the 25 fight mark and is still fighting tomato cans, then we can complain. But as it stands, he's a promising prospect that's being handled the way he should be.

And yes, I didn't realize he was that tall.

Jose's 6'1 and growing. Crazy stuff.

He could be the Klitschko of the LWW Division if he uses that height and reach to his fullest.

I think Jose has all the tools to be something really special in the sport, the environment in the Wildcard for a prospect of his age can only be beneficial. Top quality sparring, already faced Manny, the kid is going to grow & grow as a fighter :thumbsup

well if he gets the Mayweather treatment, he'll fight for a title in a few months :yep
But Floyd was also 21 at the time and Jose is 19.

I could geuinely see him beting Lamont Peterson right now though

Floyd was physically gifted as well though. Jose needs time for his body to mature, imo.

yeah I feel you. I think they're managing him the right way.
I saw in some of his previous sparring videos that he's working on his inside fighting. I wish he had somebody other than Roach to teach it to him, because he's gonna need that a lot in the future
