Yup, I'm picking Khan over Marquez. ...and the lemmings are so shocked that it was actually possible to go against the grain! But the real point here is that yes, Amir Khan can get a W against Juan Manuel Marquez. For the reasons I already stated earlier.
That's because he understands that if Marquez beats Mayweather, there is no way in hell Khan will get to fight Marquez. He knows that if Marquez beats Mayweather, Pacquiao vs Marquez is the fight that will happen.
JMM by a brutal KO. The following users should be banned imdiately... These are the reasons I think Khan can beat JMM - JMM no longer at his best weight, while Khan seems more comfortable at 140 than he was at 135. - Khan's style is well suited to Marquez, JMM is a patient counterpuncher who will give Khan the time and space he needs to pop off his combinations and move out of the way. - Khan is faster - Khan is taller and has a real good jab. - Khan has Roach in his corner, who knows Marquez inside out. - JMM is getting a little bit old and war-torn - If JMM loses to PBF, its hard to see how motivated he will get for a fight against Khan Reasons I think JMM can beat Khan - JMM has dealt with faster fighters than Khan before. - JMM is so versatile that he can adapt his style and put the heat on Khan. - JMM can pack a better punch than Khan and take a better one as well. - JMM's stamina is alot better than Khan's. At the end of the day, I would make Khan a slight favorite, although I don't think that p4p he is in JMM's league. Just that the size and style disadvantage in this one are alot to overcome. But would i be surprised to see JMM knock Khan out? Hell no! I would be surprised though if he beat him on rounds.
Khan stays competitive who shoe-shine combos and quick feet for the first few rounds, before Marquez starts to break him down en route to a stoppage late on.
Who has Khan beaten which suggest he could beat JMM? I dont doubt Khan has skills but JMM is tried and tested and in a different level to Kotelnik.
I can't believe there are people who actually feel Khan can beat Marquez. I am a fan of Khan's and it was a brilliant performance but he is not ready for Marquez. Marquez is considered as possibley the best p4p fighter in the world. He would take a few rounds to time Khans attacks and then take him out. It's funny what one win does. Khan should fight the winner of Campbell vs Bradley, Diaz vs Malignaggi or even someone like Zab Judah. All this talk of Erik Morrales is stupid. Maidana wont happen beacause the moneys not there at the moment.
if they box with in the next 12 months then jmm anything over that then considering jmm's age and assuming he looses to pbf i will have to go with khan since he is younger and would hav had 3 more fights under roach
Suggest? The fight will be at 140, where JMM has not tread yet, and where Khan looks very comfortable and more effective. Khan is physically larger, longer, faster and might be equally active in their work rate. JMM is clearly getting old (age-wise), and a jump to 140 might have an effect. It is not absurd to say Khan CAN possibly beat JMM at 140 and at this point.
