Juan Manuel Marquez is expected to sign the contract within 48 hours, Schaefer said.

I see this fight as a certainty to happen as Juan Manuel Marquez doesn't really have anywhere else to go..

Michael Katsidis (Interim WBO Champion) is fighting Robert Guerrero in March

Marcos Rene Maidana (Interim WBA Champion) is fighting Victor Manuel Cayo in March.

Funny how both aren't facing their Interim Mandatories . Oh well, I guess money talks..

I don't see who else Juan Manuel Marquez can fight. Not that the warrior doesn't have options. Just that Khan is a winnable fight which could get make him a 4 weight champion). So I see this a definet fight to happen and Amir Khan seems set on the fight so now I want your take on who takes it.

Marquez is not going to do too good at 140, I'm guessing Khan UD.

Me!!!!!!!! Khan will TKO Marquez in round 8 - that's my prediction. He will overwhelm Marquez with a lighting fast flurry of punches and the referee will ne forced to stop the fight. Khan is simply too big, too fast and too powerful. Marquez does not even stand a chance. He is merely being used by GBP as a sacrificial lamb to showcase Khan's awesomeness to the American audience.

Khan is faster, younger, and more comfortable at 140, But all Marquez needs is one shot on that chin. Mayweather could not finish JMM, so I doubt Khan will be able to.
At this point in Marquez career, he still is better than anyone Amir has fought in my opinion.

    why do you think that?

We are talking of a guy that went 24 rounds with the best version of PAC, in the other side Khan can be knocked out with a weak jab !!!!!!!!!!! :yep:yep:yep

I can not imagine Khan taking one uppercut from JMM (the best uppercut in the sport), he will wake up the next day.

with a 4 inch reach advantage, khan will not let jmm get inside to deliver the uppercut blow.

watch the khan v kotelnik fight, will be the exact same tactics.

    jab jab run run
