Knocked out with a weak jab? Kotelnik beat him to the jab quite a few times and clocked him on the chin in the beggining of round 12. You talk as if it's a bubble.

But true about JMM's uppercut, that might be hard to take.

Khan will be too big, too strong, and too fast at Light-welter for JMM.

Damn it i was hoping the Katsidis fight would get made for JMM.

I dont like the Khan fight at all since Khan is a very big LWW and really fast.

Hmmm JMM would need a miracle to pull this one off.
    WAR JMM!!!!

Freddie Roach already knew JMM's style thoroughly. He can make a great gameplan on how Khan will beat JMM.

If Khan wins, isn't it impressive for Khan to defeat Barrera then JMM?

That was not the best version of Pac! Pac has only just reached his prime and the Pac that faced Cotto would have destroyed Marquez. The current Marquez is overrated and over the hill, whereas Khan is young and is improving with every fight.

Also, Khan's chin is underrated. Yes he got KTFO against hard hitting Prescott, but he was charging in with no defense or head movement. Khan has improved his defense a lot since then and I believe his chin will hold up better at 140 lbs. When Khan faced Prescott he was weight drained and his legs were weak. But now he trains under one of the best conditioning experts in the world, Alex Ariza, and his legs are much stronger and he is much more comfortable at the weight.

It is great so see the votes split down the middle and it is a tough one to call.
This is going to be a really exciting fight. I was torn between picking a Khan Ko or Khan UD. Went for UD in the end. JMM is a tough cookie.

I think Khan just has too many advantages in this fight. He is bigger and much quicker (probably the fastest hands in boxing right now). I think his speed and accuracy will be too much for JMM who, let's be honest here, is not the fighter he was a few years ago. Khan will fight a careful fight picking away at JMM. He won't take many risks and leave himself open to get that glass chin smashed and that's why I went for a UD instead of a KO.

I think JMM can definitely KO Khan though. One sweet punch in the kisser and it is lights out for Khan. That is why watching Khan is so exciting, he can be KO'd at any giving minute against a boxer who packs a punch. But I think Roach will have him well disciplined and he will be vary cautious.

I disagree about what you said about his chin. He is chinny, always will be. He has been sparked as an amateur and in sparring on several occasions. You cant fix that. All he can do is improve his defense but if someone connects a sweet punch on Khan it is goodnight Irene!!

Pre-Mayweather and at lightweight - I would have said Marquez.
Post-Mayweather and at light-welterweight - I'm going to say Khan.

I have Khan winning by UD. His longer reach and speed should keep JMM @ bay. If he sticks to Roach's game plan and not deviate from it, then he'll be fine. If he decides to go toe to toe w/ JMM, then he's going to get beat.

Roach is obviously a great trainer, but his strategies aren't always enough in my opinion. Marquez had Pacquiao's number stylistically in both of those fights, and regardless of adjustments, it was competitive throughout. 4 years apart, and the harsh lesson learned in the first fight did not warrant a sufficient strategy to change enough in the second. Regardless of who won or should have won, Marquez has shown that he may override Roach's smarts with his own mathematical technique. The weight and speed may be a problem, but that's only guessing.

I see the fight going similar to how Barrera vs Khan was, without the headbutt. Except this time it won't be stopped.

    Khan wins by decision.

Marquez will not go for the chin. Khan is too tall. He will instead land some hooks and uppercuts to the body. attempt to slow khan down until the middle rounds where JMM is at his best.

having said that. 140 will be another test for JMM. its simply not his weight. he's slower than ever at this age (as shown in his FMJ fight). and he's taking on a sizable opponent. Khan will have another mexican legend in his resume but in my eyes he gains nothing.
