Amir Khan Vs Juan Manuel Marquez on the Table

I would pay for this fight, sounds good to me...

 

Gimme a break. He was at 135 two fights ago, and he's been saying he'd fight his own mandatory in Katsidis at 135.

The counterpunching, reflex-oriented Marquez of old would tear Khan a new *******, but the recent version of Marquez, who's lost a step and relies more on precise brawling, seems to be tailor made for Khan.

 

Fight Maidana or die mother ****er

 

Marquez has never fought at 140 and the last time out against Mayweather he looked like he had been on a diet of krispy creme. He's slow and hittable even at 135 and at 140 his power will barely register perhaps even against china chinned Khan.

Roach sure knows how to pick great matches where his opponents don't have a chance. At least Maidana had a punchers' chance at decking Khan.
JMM will look like he is moving in slow motion if he is dumb enough to accept the fight.

 

He is already fighting Maidana. Its been agreed in principle

 

He's also 36 years old and had to put on 6-8 pounds of muscle for the Floyd fight, going back down wouldn't be in his best interest


...plus he said his career motivation at this point is a Pac rubber match, he's not going back down to 135, it makes no sense

I'd rather see JMM vs the best LWW Bradley than a paper champ like Khan. Khan needs to take care of business with Maidana before he even faces JMM

yes i understand that but marquez gained a lot of muslcle for the mayweather fight, it would be a bad idea to try and lose it. you just cant do that at his age, maybe if you are young you can get away with it but even then it is a bad decision

i would say marquez has no option but to fight at 140 or above now
