Going after the Marquez Diaz winner is a massive cop out if you ask me, niether are big enough for 140lbs and niether have power to speak of (at light welter anyway), just another name to pad the Kahn record. FACT.
He's had enough undersized old legends(Barrera) and powder puff punchers (Mallignaggi) in his career. Time to get on with it - he's a world title holder now FFS.

John Murray is no option either for the same reasons, in fact he is much worse as he has not even beaten a single world class fighter at lightweight.

Peterson, Maidana, Bradley, Ortiz, Alexander or fook off with ya PPV bollocks imo, not like theres no options.

How do you know JMM has no power at 140? He hasn't fought there before. You cannot judge his power above lightweight off one fight with PBF.

He looked very powerful at 135 and stopped 2 decent chinned fighters there...if he can catch Khan he has the power to trouble him...I think JMM will have power at 140

It seems like all this bull**** with his managers/contracts etc. has put him out off action for the forseeable future.

I guess we need to see how Marquez looks agaisnt Diaz. if the win is more impressive than before the fight is credible, if he struggles we will be nowhere.

No disrespect to JMM great warrior but he should refuse to fight Khan again.

Khan would retire him for good if they met.

JMM is a 135 fighter, and should stay there.

I want Khan vs Maidana next.

I don't have a beef with Khan fighting Marquez, or Katsidis.

Ideally it would be a four man tourney with Alexander, Bradley, Khan and Maidana but Bradley seems to be deluded as to what he is worth and Maidana seems to have legal trouble.

Marquez would be Khan's toughest test - a harder, more accurate puncher than he's faced..... plus stylewise he's not exactly made for Khan by any means.

Katsidis likewise is a harder puncher than anyone he's faced to date and will bring plenty of heat - too many of Khan's opponents have been samey, boxer types without much power and **** all ability to cut off the ring.

I'd rather those two get the call than a fringe top 10 140lb'er, or heaven forbid another glass jawed area level fighter like Salita.

I said no power to speak of which is technically correct as he hasnt boxed there before, i take your point though, reckon he would defo hurt Kahn if he caught him.

Marquez is no J Welter though, he looks fleshy at lightweight as does Diaz (more so), weight divisions are there for a reason and I dont wanna see Kahn against either guy.

I'M against it. Katsidis Vs JMM and Khan vs Any Elite 140lb opposition are more meaningful, and stylistically, it would be a safety first PTs win for Khan IMO, It favours him stylistically IMO and Marquez be getting 'set up' as so many fighters do to make Khan look good.

I'd rather see Khan vs Katsidis if the Maidana fight isn't going to be made.

Why not fight a guy in his own weight class? I think your suggestion is exactly what will happen though

Exactly right. Khan would easily beat Marquez and I don't think he should be fighting 135lb fighters anymore (unless he himself goes back to lightweight, which he obviously won't). If he fought any one of Bradley, Alexander, Maidana or Ortiz I'm happy.
