How did Taylor "get his ass whopped?" Was he not ahead on the cards prior to the stoppage??

At any rate, back to the topic at hand, Chavez stops Khan somehwere in the neighborhood of rounds 8-10. If Maidana could find the mark on Khan, Chavez would and, unlike Marcos, he'd finish the deal.

 

The fight doesn't get past the 4th round, unless Chavez feels like being a sadist, which did happen from time to time.

 

Can we wait till Khan gets into or near his prime before we start these nonsense questions.

Chavez is a high ranking, old school ATG, Khan is only 24.

I doubt Khan will ever become quite good enough for Chavez, however I have every faith that Khan will eventually develop enough to become a worthy opponent for him.

Did you see his face after the fight. Not to mention they fought twice and he TKOd him in both fights. I heard Taylor was pissing blood for weeks too after the first fight.

Because for every flashy 3 and 4 punch combo that meldrick Landed - Julio would land a bone crunching right hand or a brutal left hook to the body - look at both fighters after 9 rounds , Taylors face was grotesquely swollen and bloody while Chavez looked like he'd been playing Tennis.

Same as with Khan and Maidana - Amir was outscoring Marcos but it was maidana who was bringing the hurt .

a lot of young boxing fans really sell JCC short - citing the losses to Tzuyu and Oscar - as if that was the real Chavez and not some old and tired shell.
