What time should the actual fight start? I know everyone always asks this but I gotta leave for work in 2 hours...will I catch it?
Top man. :good I might only be able to cover the main event for this Sheffield card, but will be around for the entire Buenos Aires card. (and possibly/hopefully the main event in Brooklyn on Showtime if there isn't too much overlap with HBO - or even both halves of the doubleheader if we're incredibly lucky with timing...) You kids mind the shop, and remember - you break, you buy.
Round 1 They circle tight and pose, triple jabs upstairs by Sykes and body jabs from Kays. Not a lot in it, mirror images in their footwork and the only discernible difference being location of jab placement. They are throwing with about the same amount of speed and sharpness. Kays tries some head movement but Sykes is still finding him. 10-9 Sykes
Round 2 Sykes is dancing in and out, dropping the jab high and low before squeezing his forearms together as Kays retaliates. Kays fires the right hand to Sykes' body and lands on the point of his elbows. Hook downstairs from Kays. Sykes comes forward blasting quick 1-2s and eats a right hand counter. Sykes dances to his left, ducking and weaving laterally with his guard up. Long jabs to the belt line by Sykes. Sweeping hook flurry by Sykes, thrown from too far out. Kays sticks his left forearm out to catch a jab, then snaps off his own. 10-9 Sykes 20-18 Sykes
