For those not familiar Kaizer Mabuza he was knocked out by LWW IBF Champion Zab ''Super'' Judah. Mabuza is a fighter who came from South Africa he was the one ranked IBF, he came from a brutal beating the former champion Kendall Holt. He's tall, he throws many punches, he has power. Khan would be able to handle it? Khan would be agile as Zab? not. Khan would suffer from the pressure Mabuza. Khan would be reached, he would not run like he did against Maidana in round 10. If Khan does not accept fight with Zab. (fear) Because he does not face Mabuza, or Kendall Holt? would be more credible facing these guys than these unknown Irish ...
Unknown Irish guy because of your ignorance? McCloskey is a very good operator who has enough in his locker to trouble alot of top guys at 140lbs.
Khan would beat the shiz out of Mabuza. Honestly, that wasn't even 50% of the Holt we saw on that night against Mabuza. Pressure of Mabuza? Like he did with the pressure of Maidana? Like Dom said, McCloskey is a very good operator. I don't like the guy, but he'd give a lot of the 140 pounders problems.
Kaiser Mabuza is a waste of time, shouldnt even be mentioned unless he actually starts getting some decent wins
Khan is a better mover and ring general than Judah right now. Judah was barely dealing with Mabuza's pressure. I'd see Khan staying more consistently out of reach, twisting Kaizer in knots with directional changes and making more liberal use than Zab of the jab in media res and using his hand speed in combination to tag and score on Mabuza while eluding him with quickness and guile. Mabuza has a clubber's chance, but Khan is a tougher style for him than the old, easily spooked, easily-pursued-to-the-ropes version of Judah that he walked down and imposed his will on until getting knocked out. Mabuza is a fair pressure fighter, but his hands aren't as heavy as Maidana's and he isn't quite as relentless. Khan most likely takes this, too much talent.
Let's not dismiss Kaizer as though he were a bum, guys. He isn't. It's just that he's almost made-to-order stylistically for Khan, and on a lower plane of talent besides. Bad match-up (well, great match-up for Khan to get an impressive win...but honestly Mabuza doesn't have the name/drawing power to make it worthwhile...especially with that off chance of him landing something lucky...)
I forgot that fight.. although I'd rather wait for that fight for next year.. tbh its not like he's a bum man.... its just that Zab has the title.. and so does Bradley.. and Maidana has an interim plus a close decision loss... all make sense into finally getting that Junior WW champ but Mabuza doesn't man.. Mabuza isn't a bum tho and I think stylistically he would get it handed to him by Khan too... but Khan should def. try to get the Judah or Maidana fight if Bradley still refuses to sign. Although tbh, I think Khan is afraid of a rematch with Maidana :hey (one win is good enough! wouldn't blame him)
Khan has had his warm up, he needs to get a fight with Bradley, Maidana rematch, Alexander or Judah or else head up to 147. By the way McCloskey is a decent fighter who would prob take most of the top 140's the distance with his awkward style
Paul's decent on domestic level but I feel he'd lose to Mabuza. He'll beat the brakes off of Prescott, though. :good Then, Prescott is absolute ****.
