So did Khan from round 10 vs. Maidana. Did he go down- :-(

Did Broner go down(more than once)- :nod

Broner did take a hiding and yes, if Amir allowed Maidana to hit him as often and as cleanly as Broner did then Amir would almost certainly have visited the canvas. The problem is, your criticising Khan for being a better boxer than Broner and for not allowing Maidana hit him as often and as cleanly as he did Broner. If Mayweather allowed Chino to hit him as clean and often as Broner did then Floyd may well have been in a lot of trouble and been dropped too. But Floyd didn't.

No he ran/stumbled all over the ring and narrowly avoided being KO'd.

Yes, Broner went down, got up and proceeded to take a brutal ass kicking. He never once ran away. Had Khan used that same strategy he would have been carried out of the ring unconscious.

Broner has still never been stopped while Khan got banged out by Prescott and Garcia with punches to his glass head and his glass neck, and that really is irrefutable. :deal

No, I'm not. I'm merely pointing out the fact that Khan's chin is **** and most certainly isn't better than Broner's. I know a few posters here like to make that claim, but it quite simply isn't true.

    :lol::good

To be fair, I actually think that Devon is often underrated. Bradley, Porter and Khan are the only guys to beat him. He is definitely world class (if not elite world class). Hey Hans, what about the poll? It seems our yankee mates have surreptitiously nipped in and voted Thurman ko/tko... then sneaked back out without leaving a post!! I guess theThurman- Collazo fight is too much for them to justify.

I have never once suggested that Khan's chin is better than Broner's. But there isnt as much in it as you seem to believe. And Amir's superior boxing skills swing it in Khan's favour.... And the proof is in their fights with MM. Broner's a fu cking lazy idiot who regularly presents a stationery target and thus is often very easy to hit clean, and Amir isn't nearly so easy to hit cleanky. which is why MM dropped Broner twice and hammered him, and MM failed to drop Amir once and got beat (though MM did have Amir in all sorts of bother). I know you appreciate the difference between "Chin" and overrall defence.

Absolutely. I'm just sick and tired of posters bringing up Broner's chin whenever Khan's shaky whiskers are mentioned. Khan has a **** chin and no amount of "well, I 'think' he has a better chin than so and so" will ever change that fact, so when someone says he has a **** chin just leave it at that. It can't be refuted.

Fun fact. Khan threw more punches at Maidana in round 11 and 12 than Broner did at any round in the fight. So Khan engaged Maidana more when hurt :nod

Broner has always done far worse against mutual opposition than Khan (see Malignaggi and Carlos Molina for too) so I dread to think waht Prescott and Garcia would do to that glass chinned hype job :nod

    And that, is irrefutable :deal

Lot of Khan haters in the USA it seems. :yep

I don't particularly like Khan myself, but when he fights I root for him just to **** off his haters :yep

At no point in time did I say that Broner is a better boxer than Khan. He's not, but he does have a better chin than Khan does. Very few would even try to dispute that, and they would be wrong if they did.

How come Khan could take much harder more flush blows against Maidana while drained and stay on his feet then...while Broner was up and down like a *****s knickers and trying to quit? :think

There is only one logical explanation: Khan's chin >>>> hype job Broner's chin.

You are letting your haterad of Khan cloud your common sense :nod

Maidana was the 1st guy other than Paulie Broner didn't have a big size advantage on...and lo and behold, it turned out he was sporting glass. No wonder he had such a carefully managed career until that point :nod

How can a person run in the ring? Its a fudging ring? Its a square ring! Its not like a person runs out the ring and goes home. Get with the program. If you can't beat a man, don't hate him.
