Yeah with the way the undercard looks like it might turn out I probably will buy it, particularly if Linares-Murray comes about. To be honest I'd probably end up buying this anyway, I always say I wont pay for a PPV but have always given in in the end, Haye-Harrison the only exception.

And to be fair to Khan, his options were worse than Pacquiao's as well. Berto, JMM and Mosley compared to Prescott and Murray ffs. I know I was talking to you about other fighters the other day, but they didnt seem like potential opponents GBP had lined up for Khan. Peterson was probably Khan's 2/3 best option, Mosley was Pacquiao's worst.

This has the be the blindest idiot in the world! What did he do for a rematch? He knocked out Khan in the first round!! That is not a question you ask the winner of the fight, but the loser of the fight. It'd be more like "Why does Khan deserve a rematch after that 1st round knockout" and I'd reply back that he just beat Maidana, and deserves a rematch with the guy WHO BEAT HIM!
Doesn't matter what Prescott has done since...He beat Khan. Khan should want to fight him based on avenging his only loss alone!

Good, sensible fight. Il probably go to this. Peterson is of a decent standard but Khan should win. Prescott is a nobody who landed a lucky punch, fighting him would have been a complete waste of time.

It's sad to see you guys keep hanging on by a thread to the only guy who got lucky with Khan.

Keep crying though, and keep making those "glass chin" predictions :|

Khan/Peterson will be a very good warm up for the unification bout :)

Bring on the next supposed "Glass Chin Exposer" :rofl

Stupid logic. Should Hopkins have given Mitchell a rematch then? Should JMM have given Javier Duran a rematch? Why the **** would Khan fight someone who has been beaten by Kevin Mitchell the weight below? Idiotic statement to make.

    Umm...remember this?

"Khan will never fight Maidana, cos Maidana will KTFO Khan !" :rofl

    - Khan takes the Maidana fight for Dec 11th, 2010

"Maidana is going to EXPOSE Khan for the Glass chin fraud he is !" :rofl

    - Khan knocks down Maidana in Round 1 with a brutal body shot and goes on to win by UD, after taking a barrage of "chin checking" shots from Maidana.

Now what does Khan need to do what to prove himself to you?

That's right, he doesn't have to do JACK **** to prove himself to posters like you.

Move along ladies, nothing to see here :hi:

    What will Prescott do?

Remember, according to you, Prescott isn't a puncher, so Khan has nothing to worry about.

Actually, when you think about it, Peterson, while IMO having like only a 5% chance of winning at least offers a different fight for Khan stylistically. He likes to get in the the pocket and throw a lot of body shots and is pretty adept at dipping to the right and countering with a right uppercut, something Khan will have to be careful about when he throws his jab or one of those flurries of straight shots. Especially when you compare his style to that of fighters Khan has fought since the move to 140:

Andriy Kotelnik- Common European style, advances behind a high guard and doesnt throw many punches. Easy for Khan with his advantages in size and speed to maneuver around him for twelve rounds.

Dmitriy Salita- No power, likes to fight on the outside. Shorter than Khan and much slower. Made for Khan.

Paulie Malignaggi- Absolutely no power. Fights on the outside. Shorter and smaller than Khan. Again, made for Khan.

Marcos Maidana- Fairly crude fighter who hits hard(his power is overrated though) and doesnt have much boxing ability. Has a decent jab but other than that resorts to mostly wild power punches.

When you look at it like that, yeah Peterson isnt that good an opponent, but he does bring something a little different to the table.

Good tuneup fight, especially if Bradley beats Alexander.

And why are people shitting all over Peterson?, he always comes in fighting condition and gives his all. The guy's a great contender.

Great is a bit of a strong word to use. It's an ok-good fight and Peterson's an ok-good opponent. Better fight than ****ing Prescott anyway.

Contracts have been drawn up. Everything has been agreed to.

According to Schaefer, the only thing needed now are Signature's.

Should be announced on Monday. Khan Vs Peterson it is

Khan seems to be partying and what not atm...don't see any mention of the fight being finalized on his twitter and he's usually quite vocal about it leading up to things like these.
