You don't need to be a Khan fan to realize that Khan just beat the man that gave Ortiz his last loss. In addition, Khan is now going to fight the guy who drew with Ortiz even though Ortiz knocked him down in the fight.

Khan could've picked Ortiz or Peterson. Boxing fans wanted Ortiz. Khan picks Peterson because Khan's a ***** ass *****.

 

No he couldn't have. Ortiz was never an option GBP would have allowed considering most critics question Ortiz's heart, while Khan showed just how much heart he had against Maidana in the 10th round.

They are at two different stages in their careers. Khan on his way up and Ortiz going absolutely nowhere.

Yes you make a lot of sense. Some Khan fans are too defensive to see your point and I'm a Khan fan. I think Khan could have fought Prescott but it presents too much risk and too little reward and Khan handlers wouldn't want to risk it. Had Prescott kept himself relevant I am sure this fight would have happened.

Peterson on the other hand is a legit top 10 guy capable of pulling an upset with timing and counter. I think he is severely underestimated. A fight with Peterson will only prepare Khan better for tougher challenges. So I cant really fault Khan for picking Peterson it not any easy fight by any means.

 

Khan needs to fight Prescott at some point definitely. But it makes more sense to fight Peterson next, as he'd be a better tune up to prepare for Bradley.
