I agree, but I also think both of those are tricky fights for him due to both fighters size and strength. I don't think they'll stick him in a competitive fight for his first at 147.

It's purely speculation though, and I hate the fight. I just think it'll serve a marketing purpose - unfortunately.

 

i wouldn't be surprised if it happened, i just don't think it will.

i can see Ortiz stopping Khan, still think his skillset his under rated, think Khan would beat Berto to a clear UD, despite his advantage in size

agreed khan will have to be careful at 147 all the big fights are very dangerous for him imo wheras he is pretty safe at the 140 divison

Just watching a Peterson clip on Youtube.....

Things that stand out....


*He barely ever counters until you stop punching. Not a good sign when fighting someone like Amir Khan*

*He looks pretty flat footed and dare I say it, a bit slow*

*He doesn't seem to fight tall. He seems to get lower preferring to fight with a wide stance, which no doubt will effect his ability to compete from range, although he does
seem to have a decent enough jab to maybe compete with Khan from range, which is no doubt aided by the fact he has particularly long arms*


* Peterson is appears a bit of a plodder*


*He waits for too much at times which just invites pressure, and most crucially for Khan, combinations!*

*He does however look to have the power to hurt Amir imo*

*He looks a good to decent body puncher*

*Looks like he does have a good enough jab to maybe compete with Khan from range, which is no doubt aided by the fact he has particularly long arms*

 

Full page image of Khan on the front of the Guardian sport today and a two-page article inside; was good stuff:good In it there is a quote from Khan about facing Mosley and the writer Kevin Mitchell thinks that Khan will face Bradley in March and then Floyd in London in the summer around the time of the Olympics.

 

Yeah, Gooners. It's been good picking eachothers brain and going back n forth. You remind me of when i use to just stay in the pocket and focus, so to speak, not get involved in any nonsense and just stick to the X's and O's of the fighters and the fight. That's why i voted you the poster of the year.

Can't wait to do it again next week, as we debate how Ward/Froch will go. And how Carl should approach it. :good
