Gift KD that Khan got and the two point deduction didn't seem bad to me. Every break Khan used his elbows to shove Peterson - mainly elbows to the face. I heard the warnings on my tube TV, so I know Khan heard them. I dunno if he needed someone to hold hois hand and explain that you shouldn't shove on every clinch and break. The fact that he kept doing it after the 1st point came off to the point where the ref has to do it again shows little respect. He wasn't exactly over-clinching, but I think Khan had to shove because Peterson was getting better at fighting through Khan's clinch, the speedy start backfired for him, and his inability to listen to a ref's ruling coated go
    his belts.

His tasteless interview about showing more power and speed, then ripping DC just shows why I don't like him. Respect his skills yes...but like? No. Sounds like a spoiled kid who just lost a game of Hide and Seek, home decision or not (not IMHO.)

Nice looking card, I had it the same way.

Khan winning by one round, would have won by 2-3 without the deductions.

Does no one else agree that amir needs to stop being such a macho **** and start boxing to his strengths? I mean he takes a ****ing jab and he feels the need to start waving his hands around and get involved in an exchange, if he actually stopped trying to prove his heart and chin he would have won easy, regardless of the deductions.

Anyone who likes seeing the ref decide it in the final round for the hometown guy, really should be watching figure skating instead of boxing.

Guess Amir won't be coming back to Washington anytime soon  The ref was a disgrace but glad Lamont won, Khan needs this dose of humility. There goes the Mayweather fight, Breidis Presscott anybody? :rofl

The ref did hand out multiple soft warnings, but one of the problems I had was with how many times he was warning Khan (listen to the fight track, I'd be shocked if it was less than 75) as opposed to how many times he called out Peterson (twice, at most). Peterson would initiate a clinch and Khan would still get called for it. It's Khan's fault for letting it get to him because as a visiting fighter you have to be prepared for reffing like that, but what we saw was a prime example of why guys are unwilling to travel in the first place.

Even without the two point deductions (one I could see, two is bull****) this fight was reffed in a hometown style. Blatantly so.

Even accounting for the bull**** ref job and allowing for 1 point deduction and the rest of the fight reffed for Peterson, we'd have had a draw. That would've been much easier to swallow and I'd have a hell of alot less of a sour taste in my mouth afterward. Peterson fought too damn hard for this to be about the ref job, but unfortunately, that's what it's going to turn in to.
