Take away the 1 deduction that didn't balance out the terrible knockdown and you have a draw.

Lets get a rematch in DC with Smoger as the ref. That way no one can cry about any officiating.

Very good fight. I like both fighters. Obviously, The ref was wrong. I didn't mind the first one so much because I wasn't crazy about the KD. But the second one in a fight that close was mind boggling. Another good reason to not bet real money on boxing. Can we please clone Smoger?

I probably would have given this fight to Kahn. It seemed like many of the serious punches of the fight were landed on Kahn while he was on the ropes but he did weather them and, I assume, threw and landed more. I actually got a little bored at the end when I realized that neither fighter had the power to take the other one out.

This jacks everything up because Lamont was already thumped by Bradly. Bradly was way more impressive against lamont then Kahn was.

Kahn is impressive but he is not at the level of Mayweather, Pac or Martinez because even though he boxes at a very high level, he doesn't have the power they do. But that is where the money and the challenge is and he is definitley not shying away from anything. He is a true fighter.

Another thing: If a fighter A has his head low in front of the other boxer then fighter B should be aloud to push the guy. A guy is still a threat from down there. The same thing happened in the Haye-Klitschko fight but Klit just kept pushing him strait down. Your not supposed to do that but I would think that a guy could come up from there and land.

soft warnings? are you joking? he was screaming at khan constantly for pushing and holding peterson's head down. this is all just an excuse for khan being unable to fight inside and control the ring. he doesn't have the pop or strength to keep guys off him, so he resorts to these tactics.

i really didn't see peterson doing anything that the ref could have yelled at him (or taken a point from him) for. there's no rule against putting your head to your opponents chest and working on the inside. he never once tried to butt khan. the ref did a great job. the only people who are going to make this about the ref are khan fanboys, which is ridiculous, since peterson clearly deserved the win and england is pretty much the home of the gift decision.

What I didn't like is the ref was complaining about everything. It was a rough fight but he was on Khan about the holding and the pushing. Look, he's pushing him off so he can punch. And the clinching happens when you got bodies colliding. Nothing seemed excessive or vindictive. I would have liked a real threat of a warning, I thought the point deduction in the 12th was a bit much. Then again, the ref messed up the knockdown too so it goes both ways. The guy was just incompetent and overly involved IMO.

I was rooting for Peterson too, and this makes it a bit of a bittersweet win. Peterson has got some moxie though man. He's got craft and moxie. Khan has heart, too and great athleticism. The thing is, he just flails those combos so out of position it feels like I'm watching a bigger Pac out there. He doesn't need to fight like that. Khan's chin is much more improved at a weight he's not drained out, but his heart is what distinguishes himself even further. Great fight, though. Peterson won a new fan.

khan's accuracy is also lacking. he's all flash. he doesn't have the strength or power to hurt or push anyone around at 140. how's he going to fair at 147? he's not even the best in his division right now.

    How about Tony Weeks instead?

I had the fight a draw in my card despite the fouls and knockdown. I think I gave Peterson a close round somewhere late. Maybe the 10th I gave to him and the 11th a draw, I can't remember.

So who's more upset, Oscar or Mayweather? Floyd just saw a $50 Million payday fly out the window because of a guy who he apparently whooped in Sparring.

Amir Khan sure was exposed big time tonight, he does not have the power to keep good guys off him so he becomes a runner he is far from being p4p that he claims he is.

:nono Anywhere in the world (except maybe the UK, where it would have been like 118-107 Khan) that's a close match that could go either way.

...not bad. Fell well short of the thousand club (and a bit short of the top ten) but did well to raze the entire back half of the top 20 despite only really having two bouts included in the detailed RBR coverage...one of them only lasting less than two rounds. :think
