The ONLY advantage Khan have in this match up is speed. So KO Matthysse

Khan would most likely have to fight his perfect fight to win this. I don't see him staying away from Lucas' power for 12 rounds, although he will probably be ahead on the cards when he gets stopped.

There is not enough janitors to clean that much glass.
There is not enough kings men to put him back together again.
The fight would be a safety risk for all in attendance. No way you can have that much projectile glass and some one in the crowd not lose an eye.
    Or
    Matthysse by K.O.

This fight goes one of 2 ways. Khan wins every round on points or gets knocked out badly! Simple as.

Yeah, that's how I see it, too. He has to disarm those bombs somehow. Tying up would be the best way, but I don't think he's physically strong enough. He'll be almost 15 pounds lighter than Matthysse.

Honestly, if Khan had at least an average punch resistence, then a lot of the mistakes he makes -- wasting energy, defensive lapses, throwing the gameplan out of the window, etc -- would almost be eliminated. It's because of his fear of getting hurt that he fights frantically and puts himself into difficult spots. A calm, measured Khan that is in a state to utilise his strengths better -- jab, speed, legs -- would be the favourite against anyone currently at 140.

But ifs and buts don't mean ****.

    Hear hear!

He has never been a good boxer, I am not sure where this idea came from.

I can only assume his handspeed gets mistaken for boxing skill somehow.

Khan looks good against punchbags and guys who are stylistically made for him, otherwise he looks awful and/or loses.

This is a very winnable fight for Khan, provided he comes into the ring prepared:

    It's simple.

Khan lacks the emotional discipline to win this fight.

this is the worst matchup for Khan
Matthysse has nice guard if a lightweight can take Khans punches then Matthysse will walk right through him
i wanna see it then see what Khans excuse is at the end
