I have heard this morning through the grape vine that Khan will be fighting PacMan on 8th November in Saudi Arabia. How do people see this one playing out? Has Manny slowed down enough to actually be troubled by Khan? Or even at 41 will he be too much? I see this as being the last fight for both fighters if they lose but Khan to case maybe one more mega fight if he was to win.
Style wise, Pacman is all wrong for Khan. I don't see how this fight could end in Khan's favor. Pac catches people from weird angles. Khan gets KO'd/dropped/hurt often. This one would probably end mid rounds or just a lopsided decision.
No need for this fight to happen, not for Manny as he gains nothing. A Mere Can already quit against Bud.
Khan doesn't deserve this fight and he won't get it. He's delusional if he thinks Pac will waste time on him when there's better fights for him to make.
I haven't been following Khan lately, but if he's anything as fast as he used to be I think he will give Pac some trouble at first until Pac gets the timing and the range down. Then, he finishes Khan. It's a pity Khan has no chin because he's quite fun to watch in action.
My source is from inside the khan camp. Khan seems very confident it’s a done deal but saying that I have met with Khan many times. He has links to a local boxing club where I know a few guys and about 3yrs ago I remember asking him who his next fight was and he assured me Manny was next and the deal was almost done. He might just be chatting rubbish again but my friend told me that “it’s almost finalised according to Amir” take that for what you will.
No, he hasn't. Khan's skillset is eroding far quicker than Pacquiao's, and Khan only really has his handspeed to rely on these days; no ring generalship (which he had extremely little of in his prime years, when he was beating Maidana and Alexander) and no intelligent shot selection (which he never had to begin with; he was always content to throw rapid bursts of seven or eight punches, when slowing things down a little and picking three or four quality shots to throw would've been the far more effective approach). If they fight, the above will be all too apparent than Pacquiao irons Khan out.
if pac wins at weekend khan has walked his way into another title fight after quitting against bud and then beating a retired super featherweight,, the lad has the best management team in the history of boxing haha fair play to him going over to saudi and maximizing his background/religion to his advantage,, makes me laugh
Khan has hit the lottery with this Jeddah connection. It turns out he was right to jib the Kell Brook fight because the Saudis will pay him millions to fight anyone.
