Someone here on ESB a while ago posted side by side pics of Erik Morales and Khan. :rofl

The similarities between the two was frightening.

Contrast in styles; will be an interesting fight. I think Khan will have too much for Maidana; too quick and too skillful. Maidana's best shot is to stop Khan from dictating the style it is fought in. Khan's jaw is unquestionably fragile, so it will be interesting to see Khan come up against the first real puncher since Prescott.

I was at the Khan-Maidana press conference in Haymarket - Maidana come across really well. Seemed like a great guy, wheras the way Khan conducted himself showed him to be a bit of a tool. My heart wants Maidana (even though I'm an Englishman), but my head says Khan.

    Khan to win, UD PTS.

    Thanks!

Press zone, about three rows back sat on the right side of the centre aisle. I seem to remember Steve Bunce's question was pretty dumb. What about you?

Keep representing for your boy Khan!

    A Maidana TKO/KO In rounds 1-5.

    Why?

Maidana realises he can't outbox Khan and it obvious that the longer the fight goes, the more he tires (as it appeared in the Cayo and Corley fight anyway), so I figure he will come out in round 1 guns blazing.

He will try to sweep under the left jab of Khan and plant his body shots underneath when doing so. I'm not convinced that Khan can be 100% perfect in this and feel Maidana will catch him with something.

At the same time, I feel Khan also could end it early if Maidana does come out opening his offense. Khan could time him with some good and the speed that he has makes it very very possible. I could most definetly see this being an early night for either.

Right now I'm 52/48 for Maidana right now.

    Yourself?

    Maidana early T/KO.

Khan has never showed much ability to stay away from a guy, his defence is still suspect and his footwork not great. And he can't take a punch. It will be a miracle if Khan wins IMO. The odds are great.

He over reaches and leaves himself open sometimes with his jab IMO. I see Maidana cracking him with a sharp right early.

Leaves himself open with the jab?

From what I noticed, he has his right hand glued to his chin when he throws the jab.

The jab won't keep Maidana at bay though. Combinations will.

It will have to be like the Barrera fight for him. He has to use combinations and get out. I promise you, Khan will try to implement that tactic.

By the way, Jerome, IF Khan does win, what will you say?

Please reply, as normal you don't when I ask you this question.

Khan winning a wide wide UD.
    Khan winning by TKO/KO.
Khan getting dropped and coming back up to win.

Any of them outcomes. What will you say?

Will you give credit? Or will you continue to call him a fraud for god knows what reason..

I would have to watch the fight, each round closely, to comment on the scenarios you suggested.
