By William Mackay: All of WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan’s dreams will die on December 11th, when Argentinian knockout artist Marcos Maidana (29-1, 27 KO’s) makes quick work of Khan and knocks him cold the same way that Paul Williams was knocked out by Argentinian Sergio Martinez last Saturday night.

You got to hand it to Khan’s management for bringing him along so skillfully to avoid big punchers that would expose him again like he was when he fought his first and only big puncher in his career Breidis Prescott.

However, the training wheels come off on December 11th, because Khan’s team can no longer protect him from big punchers. He has to sink or swim at this point. There’s only so many soft opponents that one can fight before a fighter like Khan has to finally step up to the real thing and face the bitter truth.

I expect this fight to be a rude awakening for Khan, because his ambitions and self belief are going to bump into an ugly thing called reality, and his dreams of fights against fighters like Floyd Mayweather Jr. are going to be crushed by Maidana’s huge right hands.

I don’t even know if this fight will make into the 2nd round like Martinez’s bout with Williams. Maidana is going to be looking to decapitate Khan with every punch he throws in the opening round, and unless Khan is sprinting at top speed, his chin is going to get tapped more than once.

Khan will be in deep trouble once Maidana lands, and I wouldn’t want to be him. Khan’s opposition hasn’t prepared him for this fight in any way shape or form. Getting matched against fighter like Paulie Malignaggi was nothing more than a foxhole for Khan to be hidden in, as it was wasted time for him.

The man himself. And just so the mods know, jpab may not fully agree with the above article but he has nothing but good things to say about BN24, may their good work long continue.

    :rofl

BN24 is beyond a shithole. Everything written on there comes straight out of the writers arseholes and onto the page. Every time a Klitschko fights, Dave Lahr predicts a win for the opponent, never mind who the guy is (Briggs, Peter, Chisora). Then makes excuses when the guy get's battered. Scott Gilfoid is in love with Dirrell, whilst hates Carl Froch (MichiganWarrior anyone?). And the rest of the main writers hate Pacquiao and diminish his every achievement. It is possibly the worst website for Boxing articles on the whole ****ing internet.

BN24 writers make Vivek Wallace look like the prophet Muhammad. :)huh)

The day I believe a word written on that site, is the day I dye. :rasta.

Jpab would like to confirm that he has no association with SportsLeader and would like to extend his best wishes to the gents at BN24 on their top notch work. Long may their reign as the pound4pound best boxing website continue.

(The real jpab would like to inform ESB that BN24 is the epitome of **** and his real views are not expressed in the above post)

By the staement of roach sounds like he is confident Khan is ready but is aware of the threat Maidana poses and is a little worried.

I think Khan should outbox him. Not to say Maidana can't make a good attack. But if Khan sticks to his plan he has the tools to wn the fight
