Maidana stepped on scale and Diaz motioned me over, "My friend, my friend come over here and ask Khan if he thinks we are taking this fight seriously! He said at the press conference that Maidana was overweight. Look now. Does Khan still think Maidana is heavy?"

Q: Give us your thoughts on the fight with Amir Khan?

Maidana: Khan is a good boxer, but I'm working on cutting the ring so I can win this
fight.

Q: Amir Khan said he is going to stand there and punch with you, but most people don't think that's going to happen, what do you think?

Maidana: I don't think Khan will do that because that's not his style. He's going to run all night.

Q: Amir Khan has been on Twitter a lot and has been talking about future fights with Bradley, Alexander, Mayweather, Pacquiao, it's like his mind must be in a million different places, what do you think?

Maidana: He can say whatever he wants, but in the fight, he'll see the real thing.

Q: Do you think Amir Khan is afraid?

Maidana: He could be, but always before the fight, the boxers always talk, but we'll see.

Q: Marcos, you've fought in Las Vegas before, but how do you feel fighting at the MGM in a big stadium?

Maidana: Well I fought last time and I passed the test and I feel great about it.

Q: We know you're focused on Khan, but if you get the win, who else would you like to fight out there?

Maidana: I'm going to win this fight and then I will then see what's the best offer.

Q: What's your prediction for the fight? Win by decision or are you going to knock Amir Khan out?

Maidana: I'm going to go out and win this fight. I'm want to with this fight by knockout (Couldn't full make out what the translator said).

Q: Have you watched the video on Briedis Prescott knocking out Amir Khan?

Maidana: I saw the fight and Amir Khan got caught with the first punch and he was caught cold but I know he can't take a good punch.

Q: Amir Khan said that Marcos was overweight at the Press conference, do you want to send a message to Amir Khan that you are taking the fight seriously?

Maidana: No no, I have nothing to say.
