McCloskey shouldn't even be an option. It's an atrocious fight that nobody wants to see. There are many better options than him.

    Chill everyone!

It is a crap fight but what do you expect after the way he lost his last?

Maybe he could fight for the Lonsdale? He never got to fight for it, as ****** was too worried he could lose to Murray or Thaxton.

Khan lost but there's no reason he has to drop down so far. McCloskey was knocked out two fights ago by Corley, who had lost his previous 6 out of 7 fights. He doesn't deserve a fight with Khan.

    I know I know!

But from Khan's point of view, its a very winnable fight, a fight people know about and has history and 'controversy' over it.

If he has to rematch anyone its Maidana!

Youve answered your own question there. Ultimately is was their fault. As was fighting Peterson in DC. As was fighting McCloskey the first time....

I understand perfectly what you are saying, What im saying is that it is ridiculous to even have him as an option. Thats not hard to understand?

And i thought Shields was Rigos trainer? Anyway thats not the issue, the issue is he was a stupid choice, given the man cant speak english.

Just because it's an easy, winnable fight, it doesn't mean it should be considered. The first one was a disaster. It was scrappy, painful to watch, ended abruptly by a cut, and pissed a lot of fans off that paid money to see it. Khan's team should know better than to re-visit this - especially during a time when his credibility/respect is at an all-time low. They should be working their way back into the public's favour, not away from it. This rematch (even pondering the thought of it!) serves no purpose other than to make him an even bigger laughing stock.

Soto's opponents, over a few different weight divisions, have been better than average. This notion of a 'best' win being so significant that people have is rather odd to me. One good win in place of a string of solid ones vs decent contenders doesn't sit right with me. Burns hasn't beaten any top tier fighters at Lightweight but, like Soto, has got to the top of the division by beating conclusively those who are a step below.

I think Soto has more than enough credentials to be Khan's next opponent. Certainly better than McCloskey anyway

why does his Lazaus guy talk absolute drivel about 'options' like hes some kind of don king/bob arum type of figure when he is more of an Usman Ahmed kinda guy.

Neither has Khan, and neither has the majority of world level boxers

I agree that he is somewhat difficult to rate because of the fact he never fought the absolute elite at that time, but has still proven very capable in every department

Like i said he's all right for Khan, and Khan's all wrong for him, its not the best fight in the world but it beats McCloskey, at the very least its a name, and like you said he's certainly no chump !, Guzman on paper is a better fight than Danny Garcia IMHO, so im not sure what the problem is with him, maybe the fact he may actually pose too many threats ?? who knows !

No it was not. And there was nothing wrong with fighting in DC. Amir was the problem that night. Did you know Mayweather and Pacquiao had Khan as an option at one stage?

I don't know about Shields, but I know Rubio is his trainer, and Rubio can speak English.

 I laugh at you pussies who don't have the balls to post on your real accounts.

I think the clinical manner in which Khan comprehensively outclassed Judah was better than him hanging on doing the Amir dance after being hurt by a lazy straight RH against a limited crude slugger yes !

Soto has been fighting guys as good as Khan's opponents (on average) for a longer period of time, in more weight classes

Tell me he's not a seasoned top level operator ?
