I feel all round Khan will be better off without Alex, I feel Alex overtrained Khan and Khan left his best work in the gym.

For this last camp Khan was in a 12 week camp trying to make up from lack of activity last year with only 1 fight all year vs Paulie. Yet they had Khan going into full sparing vs Pacman with just 2 weeks into camp, knowing Khan a young champion is not going to go easy and will try his best to get one over Pacman which by reports and Roach himself Khan did.

I think this was a wrong move as Khan was sparring Pacman with over two months to go till his fight with Maidana, Khan peaked to early in the camp which showed in the fight as Khan started to gas after 4 rds and Khan even said after the fight he felt his snap in his punches was not there in the Maidana.

Khan trains hard and never says no, I got the feeling Alex was over working him, and I think in this April fight we are going to see a more powerfull and fitter Khan, plus this will only be a 8 week camp which is perfect.

"There is still the possibility of Khan and Ariza sharing the same gym in the Philippines, where he will team up with Manny Pacquiao as part of his preparations. Rumours that a row with Miguel Diaz, one of Pac Man's team, have led to him leaving their camp have not been confirmed and Khan sees the pound-for-poind king as a vital part of getting ready for southpaw McCloskey." This was on one of the skysports pages. Can anyone elaborate on who is Miguel Diaz is and who did he have a row with?

I'm not going to tell you why that idea is flawed because the very fact you wrote and think it, tells me that you won't be able to see reason due to being blinded by fan'ness :)

he knows more than a professional nutritional/strength coach who holds a degree in the field he works in and is advised by 2 of the top nutritional/musculoskeletal scientists from UCLA.

That's like me saying Manny Pac can fit a 45" flat screen TV up his ass. Another poster then saying it is ridiculous and that of course he can't, and me telling him "Hey agree or not, it's my opinion".

    It's still stupid and wrong.

According to Darni it was Arizas fault that Khan sparred Pacquaio so early into his camp. Shows how much you know. Freddie Roach makes the sparring decision, not Ariza!

Yeah, that's exactly why it's flawed what he is saying.

You could of changed the conditioner for the fight and he would of still been on the same timetable. They work under the direction of the trainer

I know Roach gives the green light for the sparing but Alex as his condition coach should of pointed out it's a wrong move at the wrong time for Khan to be sparing a guy in his latter stages of his camp plus I know the guy is the best fighter in the world in some eyes.

Maybe for Roach Pacman is more important than peaking Khan early.

That does not mean you can't make a bad call, Roach even said in a article on the scene after the sparing was concerned that Khan might peak to early.

Whatever Khan does Pacman is Roach's No.1 and the fact Khan was only brought in as a sharpening tool for Pacman. Maybe Roach was really worried about Pacmans shape and mindset in the camp and was forced to put Khan in there, the guy who he knows wont say no.
