For what, dude? I must have missed something, because I thought that was a brilliant fight. I remember scoring it for Maidana, but I wouldn't argue with anyone who had it for Kotelnik. And Kotelnik, in my opinion, is a world-class fighter. He not only tamed a Devon Alexander in his home-town, but he beat him in the eyes of most observers; therefore making him more than just 'average'. He gets too underrated for his loss against Khan and because he doesn't do anything eye-catching.

I agree with you on a lot of things, B4E, but sometimes you do have ridiculously high standards.

 

This is a good fight if you ask me, but it makes no sense from a promoters point of view. McCloskey is undefeated, akward as hell and dangerous. They should of just brought over Katsidis who would have ticked every box you possibly could with a Khan oppononet and would have been a much easier fight than many people would expect, at least from Khan's perspective.

I gotta say, you seem to overly biased to fighters who are located in the states. If they are around title level in the states, you rate them, same achievements in Europe, Euro level.

You have no clue what type of person I am. Show me a time when I have done that. I am not the one here who is making an outrageous claim and then using nothing but personal opinion to back it up.

 

Just because I don't consider Mccloskey or Kotelnik to be world class is hardly an indication that I am biased towards U.S. fighters.

 

But why do you rate Peterson at world level, and not Kotelnik?

Yeah i think so to. Should be good battle but Khan should win.

 

Maybe i have overated McCloskey from the start, i mean no one on here is giving him a chance apart from a few. He's a really good operator and i have liked him from the start he can fire some good counter shots and has a good dig, i see Mccloskey causing khan trouble if it slips into the later rounds.

 

I think this is the best way to sum up the threats he poses to Khan and the areas of weakness.

He has the skills to torment Khan but not the speed to really pull it off.
He has a chin and can dig a bit but he is vulnerable at times.

I think he has a chance and I fancy Khan by UD. It really depends on the odd's. At 5/1 I'd back McCloskey but anything else I'd shy away. I won't comment on betting on Khan as waging on the favourite is not something that interests me. Bookies give **** odds in boxing generally when offering on the favourite.
