Hey guys,

It’s been a crazy week out here in LA, I’ve been really busy training but managed to enjoy some of the little time I’ve had off.

My mate Saj, an official member of Team Khan, arrived on the weekend and it was nice seeing him again. My brother Haroon doesn’t arrive till this weekend so I’m looking forward to hooking up with him when he touches down.

Like I said, it’s been a hectic week this week. I was courtside at the NBA All Star’s game that took place at the Staples Centre. This was my first basketball experience, and, what can I say, it was absolutely amazing!

There were a host of celebrities there like Beyonce, P Diddy, Kanye West and Rihanna to name but a few. It’s a huge event here in the US and I was delighted to be part of it, especially because tickets were like gold dust!

I bumped into Piers Morgan while I was at the game, and it was good to catch up with him again because I hadn’t seen in him in quite a while. He’s a top guy and has always shown his support for me.

This won’t be my last basketball game, I’m definitely going to try and catch a few Lakers games while I’m out here. These guys are real athletes and entertainers.

The day before I was invited by my friend, Jay Sean, to his concert at Universal Studios – it’s great to see another Brit do his thing across the Atlantic! This guy has one hell of a voice – he had the crowd going crazy. We chilled for a bit afterwards backstage and I told him that he should come and see my next fight against Paul McCloskey if he has the chance – I’ll show him how I entertain a crowd!

Tickets are still on sale through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.co.uk or call 0844 844 0444), though they are going quick, and if you can’t make it to the M.E.N Arena you can always tune in to Sky Box Office.

I’m getting used to training now after being out here for over week. I love to push myself, and Michael Vale, my conditioner, makes sure that I do just that. He’s ensuring that I stick to nothing but organic food – in the long run it helps, though try telling that to me now!

I’ve also done a bit of media work this week, after my morning session, to help promote the fight. It’s something I enjoy doing as I know it’s quite an important aspect of the boxing business.

The Wildcard has also had its fair share of visitors this week. Firstly Hollywood star Mickey Rourke paid a visit and then Joe Calzaghe stopped by. It was brilliant to meet Mickey and have a chat with him about boxing. I was also pleased that Joe popped in to see how I was doing, it’s great that all of Britain’s top fighters are behind one another.

I’ve got to go guys because I have my afternoon session with Freddie shortly where we will be going through the game plan I need in order to do damage on April 16.
