Wow, this thread reaches 5 Pages in less than a day, whereas My Bradley/Alexander thread took 2 weeks from the fight to reach this much. Looking forward to tommorow.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIqYU1leqgY[/ame] Heres a promo I made Im from Uk and its a decent match, I just hope McCloskey doesnt get blown away early, I personally can see that happening.
Quality that mate. You've done a good job there. I am well looking forward to this fight because of the England v Ireland angle. I reckon McCloskey will make it competitive but Khan should win.
Does anyone else feel Sky could have made this fight bigger and this actually shows up their short sightedness when it comes to their shows. I had a strong feeling that McCloskey would face Khan at some point when Khan won his title yet Sky apparently didn't. It has to be said that one of things that detracts from this fight is the lack of quality opponents on McCloskey's Resume. He was unlucky with Mbaye pulling out on the week of their fight, otherwise his resume is very thin for a title contender. Sky and his Team should have had more fore-vision to realise that this was a fight that would likely happen. They should have built up McCloskey as an opponent for Khan by keeping him fairly active and keeping him in the public eye. His next fight after the Rasilla fight was 7 months after that fight, that is inexcusable at that stage of his career, he should have been on Sky at least two/three times after the Rasilla fight instead he has been out twice, with only one of those being on Sky. And it doesn't help that those opponents were very poor, Lauri was his mandatory so that is excusable but Morrision never deserved a shot at the European.
Give you kudos for effort, but it was just hilarious hearing the Music "It's Amir Khan and I'm knocking you out" when Khan was getting hit pillar to pillar by Maidana. Classic.
I did pick the music because it is so shockingly bad, have you seen the music video for it, it will have you in stitches
I've seen McCloskey fight a couple of times, he's got some nice attributes, is undefeated and won his last 4 or 5 fights by stoppage. He's not fought anyone of this level before though, and I think it's gonna be a step too far for Paul. Khan is faster, fitter, and more powerful by my guestimation. I see a fast paced first two rounds with bombs coming in from McCloskey and Khan throwing punches in bunches right back at him. If McCloskey doesn't KO Khan here, I don't think he'll get another chance as Khan takes full control of the fight, stopping Paul around the 6th. I'd rather see this than Peterson or Witter though.
