Amir Khan vs Paul McCloskey - Officially confirmed!

Murray is a Lightweight who's skill and resume are no better then McCloskey.

Witter struggled badly to make 140 in his last couple of fight, he lost badly to Alexander and he hasn't been out in nearly a year and a half.

Prescott has lost twice clearly since their first fight and hasn't won against a decent opponent and in general has been proven to be very limited. But this was my favoured choice of opponent.

Peterson has lost clearly to Bradley and should have lost against Ortiz. He has 1 win out of 3 and 1 win in 2 years.

Bradley. Too soon, his cuts will not have healed and this fight will lose a lot of money from being in April and in the UK.

Maidana 2, would have been a beauty but not enough money available to make that fight happen.

Seriously why is this such a bad fight. My first 2 choices would have been Prescott or Mattheyse but I have no issues with this fight.

even responding to someone who doesn't deserve the attention is still running your mouth, if someone is a nobody, there shouldn't be any reason to even show them any attention.

Not saying khan is running in another direction, I'm saying he shouldn't have said Prescott is an easy fight, then not fight him, bottom line, Khan just shouldn't have showed any attention to prescott because there's no need to

 

Tell that to JMM, Hopkins, Pacquiao, Haye and Wladimir.

Im not that disappointed with it just feel he did have better options. personally my favourite would have been Brook. its just that mccloskey wont prove anything for khan, noyone has ever said mccloskey would win and i dont even think mccloskey himself thinks he will win, this will be just like the salita fight.

People like you continuously ask Khan why he's not fighting Prescott, then when he responds, you say he shouldn't give him attention?

I agree that there where better more interesting options available but nothing that makes this fight terrible and unworthy. I think McCloskey is a big underdog as well but he bring enough intangibles to make this fight interesting, has Khan faced someone with McCloskey's style before and when did he last face a Southpaw?

Also as he is Irish it bring out a nice natural friendly nationalistic rivalry, purely because of that aspect it means more then a fight with an unknown American Contender.

i hope your right. i just feel the next best brit in this category is kell brook and he deserves his shot a bit more, my oppinion but hey.
