Has anyone else walked out to that in the last two decades? I'm sure a couple of boxers did when it first came out, but..

    Round 1

Watson is popping his right jab and keeping an even stride backing away. Purdy follows, earmuffs on, flicking his 1-2 ineffectively. Watson is able to get two or three jabs off before every rotation around Purdy. Watson is completely baffling Purdy with his movement. Good body shots by Watson. Shoeshine, now. Purdy is cut by one eye from that right jab. Watson is utilizing backward, circular, and up+down movement to remain largely untouched save for a few right hands.

    10-9 Watson

    Round 2

Watson is throwing nice counters, right hooks to the body and lefts upstairs while leading Purdy around the ring. Purdy is hooking in lieu of his jab with the left, and trying to loop home some right hands. Watson is landing right jabs and left uppercuts on the outside step. Purdy continues to just plod in behind his guard, ineffectively.

    Round 3

Purdy comes banging in with straight punches and is knocked back by an overhand left. Watson slides back and forth along one set of ropes, making Purdy chase his tail. Purdy headhunts from outside, and is catching all glove or air. Watson landing right hooks to the body very well, and using erratic rolling movements to duck and slip everything he isn't blocking. Nice left uppercut on the inside by Watson, while tilting his head from a left jab. Watson is staying inside Purdy's chest and peppering him with counters, but the thumb area of some straight right hands are landing on the side of Watson's chrome dome.

    30-27 Watson
