Amir Khan Vs Paulie Malignaggi for May 15th in MSG Confirmed

Paulie by wide UD. This will be Khans last fight in the US

 

I see your points but I dont agree with them...Nobody is doubting Khan's ability...He got skills, no doubt about that but that still doesnt earse the mental and physical toughness of Paulie...People are overlooking that IMO...Yes Paulie doesnt have the brute power that many fighters posses but he makes up for in skill and heart...He will bring his A game and he will make Khan fight.

Given on how Paulie took beatings and didnt get KO'ed...I honestly dont see what Khan is bringing to the table to make people think he's going to KO Paulie...Its very unlikely!

Khan has too much in his punches (combined with speed) for Paulie to handle.

Khan KO's him inside 6rds.

 

Khan doesn't actually have much power. Blazing speed, definitely, but he's no big puncher. I'd be wary about predicting a KO.

i rewatched khan v kotelnik again and yes khan boxed very well
but from the 8th - 12th rounds he looked completely exhausted :tired
he looked very fatigued when all he was doing was moving side to
side throwing light-ish combo's
and its not like kotelnik was pressureing him with aggression
he was slow and plodding and could not catch up with amir for the majoroty of each round
hardly anything coming back at amir but he looked knackered

i now think khans chances are to bomb paulie out early !!!!
paulie is tough and can take amirs shots and if he's buzzed he knows how to spoil and survive.
if it goes into deep waters amir might get tired which will weaken his chin
or cause him to make mistakes ???

not saying paulie will ko amir but ......

i think khan tries to make an impression and wins the first six rounds

then paulie takes over and wins the last six

this could be a VERY close Decision :deal

paulie gets a shock at amirs speed and power
but
amir gets a shock at paulie ring craft / experience / tricks

This Fight is gonna be about getting your shots off at the right time
and mental determination :deal

I agree with most of this. The one exception being the outcome. I think Khan wins a close, but not necessarily controversial decision.

Disagree. The guy has taken some beatings and never seemed all that hurt. he might not hit hard for ****, but he is very tough.

All in all, I think this is a dangerous fight for Khan. I still think he'll win, but he will be challenged. He won't have his chin checked by Paulie, who might finally be over his severe hand problems, but a round or 2 goes the other way ......and .......you never know. IMO it will be closer than many expect.

 

Khan on the cards.

 

Fight between the two guys I hate most. I actually think Paulie takes this. I hope he does. I want to be done with Amir Khan. Seriously.
