If this actually happens, I may be in the minority, but I think Khan wins a decision in a pretty entertaining match-up.
I didn't say he can't box or that he is as limited as Berto. I said Robert Guerrero and Devon Alexander both have more skill.
Yep. Alexander was probably the best fight out there for Khan (decent chance of winning/not getting sparked out and with a belt on the line) Maybe he doesn't want to face Kell Brook (who is IBF mandatory I think?) or wants to prove a point by trying to beat a Mayweather opponent impressively? I don't really see the logic if its true
This is the first i've heard of it, but if it's true it's a kind of strange move in my eyes. Guerrero is IMO at least as difficult an opponent as Alexander, but at least against Alexander there was a title to be won for Khan. Maybe team Khan wants to go in this direction because they wanna be able to say "look, we beat one of Mayweather's most recent opponents, we deserve the big fight with Floyd". And when you think about it, a fight with Mayweather is a bigger reward than an IBF title... so maybe it's not such a strange move after all.
Damn I realize Alexander was a fight Khan wasn't going to win, but Guerrero by my account is even more of a stretch literally and figuratively. Khan will taste the mat yet again, middle round stoppage for The Ghost.
