Amir Khan vs Sky TV (Who will crawl back to who first???)

I really don't think Sky TV with a net profit of over 800 million British pounds are going to be losing too much sleep over Amir Khan. I'm sure they'd like him back with the right fights and the right attitude but its not really going to make or break them.

Meanwhile, they are the ONLY real platform for boxing in the UK if you want decent exposure.

 

Sky and Khan make money together, so it makes sense for them to be both together.

Depending on how serious Sky are with their boxing product, Sky will want a boxing star that draws PPV buys.

Haye has lost a lot of star power after his last outing but no doubt will still shift PPV numbers, but won't be seen as the superstar like he was pre-Klitsckho fight.

Froch will lose the Ward fight, so he won't become a superstar.

Khan is the obvious choice, still a star, very talented, very young and it's likely he'll get past Judah and become an even bigger star especially Internationally.

Plus add the fact there are potential very big fights that would sell in the UK such as, Mayweather, Brook, Alvarez, Gavin etc.

Ironic how after the Haye fight before the post fight analysis, during the commercial break you saw Khan's reebok advert!

Khan does not need SKY. As long as GBP and GBP are tight, he'll continue making big bucks in the USA and UK money is a bonus. He didn't go broke when he aired his fight with Paulie on ITV for F-all.
That said (and for the millionth time),he seriously needs to put his Fcukwit manager into a meat grinder.

 

Monopolies are often never great and Sky very much have a monopoly on boxing in the UK.

It's a shame Setanta went down as they'd have provided a viable alternative.

I can see Judah beating him which would force him to crawl back.

 

Khan is too arrogant to apologise. I doubt he will ever be on Sky again.

 

At the end of the day, Sky are a business, and their main interest is making money. If Khan will make them money, they'll ask him back. But not for a while.

Whether the Khans will go back, who knows?

Remember at some point, Amirs little brother is going to turn pro, and (although he's probably ****) they will want to build him up on the back of Amirs name. Now he won't be able to fight exclusively on PrimeTime on Amirs undercards as they're too infrequent, so at some point the relationship will have to thaw.

However, i can see Khan and his bunch of ****wits simply being too proud to go back to Sky. With idiots like Saj twittering about Sky at every opportunity, i think that they now genuinely believe they are better off at PrimeTime. Morons.

 

I think they realise they are not better off on primetime and are only having a go at sky, like bitter jilted lovers would have a go at an ex when they see them in a better position having moved on.

How much khan v Judah sell on primetime will tell us a lot about if khan genuinely has his future on that channel

I voted for Khan will crawl back but Sky can be very unforgiving and unless Khan gets Mayweather I cannot see them taking him back. It will be interesting to see how his fight with Judah goes.
