Robinson's fight with Randy Turpin proved he wasn't very good against British fighters and folded like a lawn chair. Khan would be battering Robinson against the ropes in round 10, when ref Steve Smoger saying enough is enough, and declaring Khan the winner by TKO. :good
I'm so flabbergasted as to why this thread is still alive, that I'm invested in keeping it alive now.
I think you're underestimating Robinson, he gave Shawn Porter a pretty good strap. http://boxrec.com/boxer/379244
SRR would know what its like to receive Smoger's "kiss of death" to the side of the cheek, as he mercifully stops the fight against the ropes. But THE GLASSMASTER KRS-NONE has carefully ****ysed this fight and foresees a more brutal conclusion: Seeing as Robinson and I hold 2 things in common, we're both yanks, therefore, we're both glass-jawed, I calculate Khan to be the heavy favourite, taking into account both nationalities. However the KO blow won't likely be to the shaky mandible of SRR. Instead, I see iron-fist Khan digging in his textbook body shot to Ray's ribs, just like he did to Maidana. Except Ray wouldn't get up. He'd writhe around on the canvas like a demented worm that's just been cut in half with a bread knife. Khan KO1 Robinson.
Someone close this thread out of respect for Sugar Ray Robinson Khan's name should never ever be mentioned or written next to such a legend, jokingly or not. One man graced the sport and will be remembered forevermore, while another treated it with disdain and brought shame upon it.
