I heard Jimmy Lennon Jr. speak for the first time without announcing something a few days ago... it's really weird when you see him or Buffer just talking to the camera outside of the ring.

No, it was Fight Maidana next or fight someone else [Malignaggi], but at the risk of getting stripped.

Khan then went to GBP, which allowed Amir to get a fight in before getting in with Maidana, and the option became a reality because both became part of the same promotional company.

GBP and HBO did NOT make a deal with Maidana. This is 100% bull****. Apparently, this deal was for 3 fights. Why did Amir fight Maidana after Malignaggi if this so called deal was true then? :huh And why was Maidana only on HBO for one fight if them 'HBO deal dates' were true?

It's a load of rubbish, Box.

But you are right about W@rren giving him the Maidana option, and he did also contact Bradley's team for a fight as well.

But to say he would have gone forward with these options (Bradley) is something we don't know of, as all this became aware to us when Amir was of the brink on leaving W@rren, and we all know Mr W@rren's grand schemes.

don't know why everyone is getting so hyped about this fight, judah is past it,and at his best he was not all that good, khan would have beat judah at his best. the ****er couldent even catch that ***** witter for 12 rounds, and he was meant to be the next big thing back then:lol:

he won the title against a ok opponent, who has been beat a good few times before, and he dident look that good in doing it,ok,a ko but,he was not that impressive:thumbsup

every time judah has stepped up,he got beat.

    if baldimo(spelling)can beat him,khan can:deal

I hear this time and time again, it's a total lack of understanding.

Let's go back to Dec 2009... Khan wants to go to America to fight. W arren, obvious from his response to questions about it doesn't. It isn't because he's afraid Khan will lose. It's because it doesn't make financial sense.

Khan was a big UK name in Dec 2009, on PPV, world champion. He was making good money. But in the USA he was a total unknown. Had W arren set him up in a bout in the US, Khan and W arren would of both lost money. It would of been stupidity.

You're probably going to say "Oh but he gets $1million+ every fight from GBP"..Yeah, because as it happened, GBP sold HBO on the idea that he was the next Ricky Hatton, and that he was worth this guarantee because he would bring 25,000+ "British boxing fans" that Hatton brought. Not realising that was more to with Hattons unique cross over appeal than about British Boxing.

Also, I imagine you didn't follow boxing at the time as it was long before Khan, but Naz left W arren after he was already well established in the USA.

As for Calzaghe and Hatton. It wasn't a case of him holding them back, and they then left him and made it. You are making up your own history. They left W arren after he got them to a level whereby they had the the international recognition in order to make it in the USA. Hatton beat Kosta. Calzaghe had demolished Lacy projecting him into the US boxing market. I agree with what both of them did because at that point they no longer needed him.

It wasn't all about Khan getting stripped for ******, it was more that it would have severely damaged his working relationship with those he had made the Kotelnik promise to

It isn't bull****. I know why you think it is. But you are not understanding it correctly. There was no 3 fight deal. He was promised 3 HBO dates if he didn't enforce his mandatory position at that time. Maidana's team then had a tantrum 9 months later.

Look forward to this, July is going to be a massive month for British boxing.

There's not too many big names in world boxing at the moment, but a win for Khan against Judah will probably make him one of the biggest names around.

Lets cut the **** here, W arren is a promoter who is best with young and upcoming fighters now, gone of the days when fighters which built up a record and market value opting to stay with promoters like W arren.

Fighters want to cut into deals with TV networks themselves basically cutting out the middle man e.g Mayweather Promotions, Hayemaker Promotions, Hatton Promotions, Khan Promotions. These companies only act as body to which fighters make deals with Big TV networks like Sky or big promotion companies like GBP to make a better deal for themselves. Ok Hatton Promotions has a real banner as he got a deal with Sky and has a few fighters under his name.

Khan wanted to enter the U.S market and needed a company which operates in the U.S for a start and has the backing of HBO the main network over there, its a simple move for Khan to make as he wants to expose himself to the U.S market at a younger age than many do from U.K

I think W arren done a decent job with Khan in getting his a shot at a world title after his KO loss to Prescott just 3 fights before that, but in the end as it always is this is a business and it all comes down to money in the end.

Yeah, I saw the same, but I think that's the same jacket they wore at the Khan/McCloskey weigh-in, so I'm not sure if that's correct.

I'm pretty sure they would have announced it instead.

I don't think this will on Sky as they won't have 2 PPV in one month Haye being the first.
