He is not going to reduce his protein intake. He'll cut down the carbs.

Khans meals during the day would have been 4:1 Carbs to Protein and he'll reduce it to 1:1 to reduce his weight.

Especially if he's attaining it through high protein sources like fish. In a 100g of salmon fillet there is about 150 calories. What's he eating, a ****ing kilo of fish?

2 litres of cottage cheese before bed

The body can't break down the amount of protein he'd be consuming in that diet if it was 6800 calories worth.

This seems like the right answer, cut the carbs does work really well over short term.

    Thanks for that.

So, what do you think Khan weighs a week out?

I always assumed that a fighter would be at his "in ring" weight for a week or so before the fight, then really starve/de-hydrate themselves right up to the weigh in and then smash a load of food and fluid in right up until a few hours before the fight.

However wrong it may be, it's just what I thought.

Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat, 1lb of muscle weighs the same as 1lb of fat... 1lb!!! Unless you think a 1lb of lead weighs more than a 1lb of feathers...?

I'm not trying to say I know more than Ariza, but as everyone is telling you the diet is a massive exaggeration, for whatever reason I don't know, just like I don't know why Khan came out with the more moronic statement of being 1% body fat a while back.

Khan is not the sharpest tool, he was probably told he was 1% by one of his hanger ons.

Volume to volume muscle weighs more.

The majority of his calories will be in carbs with a super high glycemic index and isolate proteins which are both rapidly absorbed by the body after exercise. He takes the cottage cheese at night as this form of protein digests slowly so to give him a steady stream of protein to his muscles as he sleeps.

At 150lb Khans BMR is 3000 calories, thats how much he needs to eat to maintain that weight, that takes into account hard training twice a day. That isn't my opinion, it is scientific fact so at no point is he ever eating anywhere near 6000. As has been pointed out though the diet itself looks nowhere near that amount

Yeah, they will have a weight in water in mind to how much they can lose prior to the weigh in. If that figure was say for the sake of discussion 4lb, 2kg, then they would get him to 144/145 at the end of the training. Then they get rid of the water in days running up.. weighs in at 140.. then they fuel him back up.

I have no idea what it actually is though. These pictures don't look great around his stomach, which is body fat, so obviously he isn't losing that in the space of 7 days. However saying that, you can't always make a connection between body fat and their fitness.

Judah certainly looks in good condition though.

Not what you meant and you know it, tbf your still not explaining it well, you mean the same weight takes up less space as muscle is more dense, it still doesn't weigh more, but well done on the quick google search :good

It was in the context of less intake of protein which help retain and build muscle and other element was body fat.

So if you can lose some of both at the same time you could lower your weight fast.

OK, the equation itself is hardly fool proof as there isn't a one size fits all but for the purposes of trying to give some perspective to how out of touch 6800 calories is to Khans actual requirements its as good as i have
