More testing is a key part of better testing.

There are two basic problems with tests.

    1) There are substances which are undetectable without rarely used types of tests, as well as substances which are currently undetectable with any type of test.

    2) A central part of the art of using PED is cycling on an off the substances so that the PED is out of your system by the time you are tested, even though the substance is in theory detectable, while the benefits persist. Most of the important PEDs don't work like a recreational drug, where the user takes it immediately before they want the effects. Instead they are about providing longer term effects with shorter term detectability.

Point (1) is why more advanced tests are always needed. And indeed some of the testers biggest successes have come when a new test was developed and used before the athletes and their doctors knew about it. Look up CERA, a later generation version of EPO, for a good example.

Point (2) is why more advanced tests aren't enough. Out of competition tests are much more important than in competition tests because you have to be an absolute idiot to fail an in competition test as you know when it's coming. In sports with serious drug testing regimes, athletes have to be available for random drug testing 365 days a year. What's more, a biological passport system, which tracks various changes in athletes blood, requires a whole batch of additional, regular tests.

The two parts are intimately linked.

lets all thank MAYWEATHER for being a COWARD. If it wasn't for that, he won't be asking for OSDT.

Also, if only MANNY didn't say that he got weak when they drew blood from him the night before his fight with MORALES. Floyd wouldn't even demand this.

What the heck, why create a thread like this. Drug testing is no longer an issue, the road block is the unfair money split that Floyd is demanding on Pacquiao. And did Mayweather told recently, he is worried about his health against Pacquiao..

The truth is Floyd fears Pacquiao..

He demanded this because Pacquiao demanded his own stipulations. The negotiations had to be equal.

Floyd demanding blood tests to try and clean up the sport is a good thing but I dont ever remember him demanding them before pacman came along. Its just his excuse not to fight pac.

It wouldn't have ever been an "excuse" had Manny just accepted the testing from the jump. Stop being a dumbass, Pac looks shittier everyday over this ****.

Pac must've been juicing when the he first started moving up through the divisions...then he came out with that bull**** excuse of fearing needles and losing blood... And mayweather is bigger than him so the blood loss wont effect him as much. Cheating mother****er!

Now his system is clean he's happy to do the tests.... These tests need to be done all year round not only before a fight.

Why is it a forgotten fact that the first ever 'negotiations' for this gave Pacquiao everything he wanted, except for drug testing? Floyd conceded ring size, 50/50, glove size, 10 million for every pound over the limit and everything else. Manny ran and said no. Floyd said then that if you walk away from this, 50/50 will be off of the table in the future.

Fast forward years later, I know why people are saying Floyd is chicken, but all he is doing is staying true to his word from years prior. On top of that, have you all seen the ESPN money issue. He took Oscar's model and made even more money from it. Back in 2009, an even split was warranted. In 2012, its a laughable suggestion at best. Nowhere in the history of doing business does two entities come back to the negotiating table with the same terms as before if they are no longer on equal footing. Mayweather and Pacquiao are not on equal footing when it come to top billing in boxing as far as revenue. Manny and Bob the Builder should have taken that 40 million offered to them in a heartbeat.

*******s will hate khan now lol they're like teeny bopper girls with a teen hearthrob obssession. they love anyone who heaps praise on the object of their creepy obsession and hate anyone who dares be critical even if it's someone who previously associated positively. They're a bunch of little girls and most are pinoy so they have the body of little girls to match.
